Galgotias University College and Campus Review

Galgotias University has several ways to take admission like through jee mains , through UPTU, through their own entrance exam and through merit of class 12th also. Now it's your choice that through what way you want to take admission into it. I study in BTech computer science and engineering so the eligibility criteria for that is you should have minimum of 65% aggregate in 12th in pcm and overall too. The age criteria is not specified but you must have done 12th from a well recognised board . There are different eligibility criteria for different fields but I just know about my one . I was having good marks in class 12th so I got the direct admission in my desired branch . I scored 91% marks in class 12th from ISC board and it was quite enough for computer science branch. Due to covid there are some changes in the process of admission like aktu is not there now so jee main score is considered over that.

Basically, I have chosen the BTech in Computer science and engineering course because it is a tech course which is in high demand right now as well as I am very much interested in coding and all so this was the only choice for me. The course structure is pretty comfortable and good and easy to learn and the faculty members are also very supportive if and only if you are ready to grasp the knowledge from them. The student-faculty ratio is quite good. All the faculty members have done masters and PhD in their field courses and have a wide range of experience in teaching so it is very good for us that we can get more and more knowledge from them. We have 3 mid sem examinations and one final examination. All are written exams and sometimes it is quite challenging to get good marks because the competition is very huge there.

Currently, I am in the 2nd year now from the 4th semester we will have our internships. There are some companies who provide internships in our college. There are some free and some paid internships as well so it is a good chance to learn and gather knowledge from the company itself. As much I heard from my seniors the internship is not very highly paid but yes you will grasp some knowledge from there for sure.

The placement of our college is quite good but not as high as IIT and BITS . As a private college it provides a good placement and having a placement record above 90% . The maximum package from our college was 52 lakhs as per the knowledge I know and the company who gave that was Amazon. The average package for CSE is 7 to 8.5 lakhs per annum. There are more than 100 companies visit our college for campus placement and there are a few big one in that like tata and all. After graduation I am going to take a good job in MNC like Amazon or something. Now I am just focusing on my academics not on companies.

The fees of BTech in Computer science and engineering is almost same as in all college like it is around 159000 per year, this is the tuition fees excluding the hostel and mess. This much fees is quite worth it according to the placement and the facilities we get there. Our campus provides the internship from 2nd year only and the campus placements are increasing year by year and many good companies are hiring our students like Amazon etc. If you have a good academic command on your branch then getting a good campus placement is not so difficult for you.

There is a fest which held in a year but due to covid we do not have any fest since 2 years so I don't know much about it . Campus Life is very good because we don't have a uniform for the classes, we can wear whatever we want to and this is what it makes different from other colleges. There is a huge crowd there so social life will always be amazing. We have a big library where we can sit and read and also we can rent books from there . We have thousands of books there related to our subject and much more. Extracurricular activities are also there like dancing music debate sports and all. We have multiple sports facilities like football cricket basketball badminton chess etc. If you are in hostel you will get the most of the benifits of it.

I use to stay in a campus hostel which is quite good and affordable. The total fees structure of the hostel for 2 seater non-ac is 110000 which is monthly approx 11 thousand rupees. The hostel Life is very cool and amazing Because we have all the sports facilities inside our hostels and the hygiene is good there. The registration process of a hostel is very simple you just have to pay the fees monthly or yearly according to your choice and show the bill to the hostel manager and he will provide you the room whichever you want.
