Remarks
I had applied for all colleges in the nearby Delhi NCR region and in Pune. I chose galgotia college of engineering and technology just because of some listening from nearby people and by NIRF ranking (was 110 in 2018) at that time. Doesn't knows that NIRF ranking doesn't matter. My Addmission was through uptu in which I get approx 7000 something obc rank and able to get any private college in the first go. I just followed the addmission process set by uptu and get addmission here.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose mechanical because it's my keen interest to know more about the mechanism and machines. Faculties are good as compared to students ratio. We have 3 sections comprised of 170 students approx. Most of the faculties having Ph.D. degrees and are quite knowledgeable in their respective field. Exams were conducted on a regular basis and the paper level is medium.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are quite low as compared to other colleges nearby, but the main thing is college is not so supportive in terms of relaxation in any sort of fees. In this pandemic time also we have to fill over overall fees with no such relaxation. Scholarships are not provided by the college itself, students have to apply to aktu University with many formalities and lots of paperwork. Once you are lack documents individual can't get opportunities for further years. Financial assistance is provided to only limited students whom so ever applied in that category. Jobs are very far for the core branch students. Only placement companies that visit colleges are CS'S AND IT'S. not a single core company in the core field.
Campus Life
In terms of the fest and all, the student management is quite active in organizing such activities throughout the year. It's like one thing ends and the other thing starts in quite an interval time. The library is full of books and journals, but most of the books are quite outdated and need replacement with the latest versions. Sports activities are good, but the student has to act to be a part of the sports activities. There are no social groups and clubs manages by students almost in every field.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are quite good with sports gym tv rooms and other things. The hostel basically provides us almirah, bed, table, and chair. One must have to carry their own bedding to the hostel. Hostel allotments are on first come first serve. As there are plenty of colleges nearby accommodations are easy to grab at a basic cost. Hostel mess is the one thing that should not be commented on. All college hostel messes have the same story with tasteless food.
