TECHNO MAIN SALT LAKE REVIEW (PLACEMENT 100% IN THIS PANDEMIC ALSO)

During my 12th standard, I appeared for WBJEE and JEE Main exam, entrance examination of engineering field. In JEE Main, my rank was 37665 and in WBJEE, my rank was 3543. So, I chose JEE Main rank for getting admission in Engineering college for both all India colleges as well as state colleges. Through JEE Main rank, I appeared in all India counselling processes. I applied for different NITs, IIITs and state engineering colleges for CSE, IT and ECE branches. As I am a general candidate, I was not available for any quota for admission. Admission criteria for this program: Firstly, you should be a science student in the 12th standard. Minimum 75% in aggregate or to be in the top 20 percentile in their 12th examination (for general) and minimum 65% in aggregate (for sc, st, PWD). Age limit: minimum 17 yrs. Mandatory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics needs to have in 10+2 examination. By appearing in different counselling processes, I chose Techno Main salt lake (CSE) as my first choice.

I chose CSE for better future growth in technology demanded world. The course curriculam is totally alligned with not only for the requirement of IT sectors but also for research and development fields like operating systems, software engineering, machine learning, data science , computer network, android application development, web technology, block chain, cloud computing, information and cyber security etc. In CSE department of TMSL, there are 35 to 40 faculties who are efficient, qualified, knowledgeable and helpful. Teaching quality is more than expectation. Course curriculum is purely relevant with industry oriented. The strength of students in this department is 120. There are four internals for theory and two for practicals. Semester exams are not so tough.Minimum marks required 40%. CGPA system is available, means if marks 90-100, then CGPA 10, if 80-89,then 9 and so on. If one is serious about his study then no need to worry to get job after taking this course.

College directly doesnot provide internship but most of the company coming for recruitment offer internships to students. 92% students got internship during their 3rd year. Goldan sachs provided internship during 2nd year. Informatica (30000/- per month) Thought works(20000/- per month) Accolite digital(20000/- per month) NRIFT(15000/- per month) EPAM(15000/- per month) Stock Edge(15000/- per month) Persistent(10-15k per month) etc. and so on. Most of the companies offer software engineer role, some of them offer application developer , support engineer, junio software engineer role also. Mostly, they offer 6 months internship but some of them also offer 12 months internship , 9 months internships also. Students can gain knowledge from different technologies as a part of these internships. In this pandemic , more than 60% students are already placed before starting of 4th year.

From the mid of 3rd year, students become eligible for campus placements. There are more than 100 companies visited and 99% students are placed in CSE. Highest package: 32LPA(Goldman Sachs through off campus) , 11LPA(informatica through on campus),11 LPA(Microsoft support engineer through on campus) Lowest package: 3LPA(TCS Ninja) Average package: 5-7 LPA Top recruiting companies: TCS Digital(7LPA), Cerner(7 LPA), Persistent(4.71-7.5 LPA), CAPGEMINI (3.8 LPA) , ZS ASSOCIATE(6 LPA), ACCOLITE DIGITAL(5-8 LPA) , EY(4.5LPA), COGNIZANT(4-6.75 LPA), VIRTUSA(4-6.5 LPA), THOUGHT WORKS(8.33 LPA), AMAZON, HP, INTEL, EPAM, WIPRO, MAVENTIC, ODESSA, INFOSYS etc. 92% got internships during their 3rd year. Recently, I got placed in Accolite digital as software engineer (internship+ FTE). I want to learn new technologies as much as possible in this IT company.

For 1st semester, amount for general 78,350/- and for TFW 33,350/- . Dress and prospectus fees 4000/-. For 2nd semester, amount for general 62000/- and for TFW 27000/-. For both 3rd and 4th semester, amount for general 45750/- per semester and for TFW 4750/- per semester. For both 5th and 6th semester , amount for general 46750/- per semester and for TFW 4750/- per semester. For both 7th and 8th semester, amount for general 47750/- per semester and for TFW 4750/- per semester. Makaut Registration (for 4 years) approx 2650/- one time. Makaut Exam fees(1200/- *8 semester) . There are many scholarships available for needy students like kanyashree , AICTE PRAGATI,SAKSHAM scholarships etc. In CSE, 99% students are placed. Highest package: 32 LPA(Goldman sachs), 11LPA(informatica) Lowest package: 3.36LPA(TCS Ninja) Average package:5-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies: TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Persistent, Thought works. ZS associate, Virtusa, Cerner, HP,Intel, Accolite, EY, ODESSA etc.

Annual cultural fest of TMSL: Anakronos Tech fest : Edge Literature fest: Eclectica Social club fest: Samaritans They all are mainly conducted between april to may each year. 1. Libraries are well furnished with AC and there are a lot of books and journals of different subjects available in library. 2. In classroom, there are good infrastructure with AC. 3. Smart classroom is also available. 4. Proper instrumentation in the lab 5. Free wifi in the campus 6. 2 big play grounds are available in campus. There are football , cricket clubs in the college. 7. Social group is Samaritans . The members of this club are involved in different social awareness campaign, blood donation camp, tree plantation, etc.
