Remarks

The admissions for the MBA course is merit based. For the admission the candidates must have a valid CAT/GMAT/XAT score. The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of this score, and then called in for a GD/PI. The final selection is based on the performance of the candidate in GD/PI. My reason for opting ICFAI was its high ranking. It has ranked 26 by NIRF and 8 for Private MBA by Outlook. The academics at the institution are in par with that offered at IIMs and NITs.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The 2 year MBA course spans over 4 semesters. There is an internship program at the end of year one. The program comprises 30 courses and lab skills. The main focus of the course is to prepare students for campus placements. The course includes, group discussions, mock tests, interviews and regular lectures. The faculties are highly qualifies. They are also very helpful in matters of academics.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There is a compulsory internship program as a part of the course. The internship is at the end of the first year. Major recruiters for the internships include Axis Bank, Bank of India and Citi Bank. During this internships both faculty and the workplace managers act as mentors and monitor the work.

Placement Experience

4

ICFAI has a very high placement percentage. In the year 2019 it achieved 100% placement percentage. The major recruiters include Wipro, Zomato, Google and Flipkart. The highest package offered comes around 15 LPA. And the average package is around 5 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fee for the two year course is 525000. This is very cheap in comparison to other institutions. The institution does not offer financial assistance or scholarships for MBA students. Scholarships are only for the undergraduate students.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is modern and has all the required amenities. The libraries are well stocked and provide free access to journals and databases. There are different socio cultural events conducted around the academic year. Overall ICFAI has provides a good balance between academic and extracurricular activities

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels are available to the students, and they are of dual occupancy. The hostels also provide a wide range of indoor games, gym and swimming pool facility. The rooms are well furnished and have cupboards, tables and beds. The mess food can be quite average. But I think is quite okay for the money spent.

Admission

Yes. The final admissions are based on the marks of GD/PI. To clear GD/Pi a strong foundation in core subjects are necessary. A good command over language and awareness of current affairs can also be useful. Ultimately what they look for is originality and honesty in answers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Pharmacy was the best option for Bipc students apart from MBBS. My main aim was MBBS,but unfortunaley i couldn't get it. Retail pharma, industrial, clinical had a huge scope which made me to opt for Bachelor of Pharmacy. Curriculum needs more practical knowledge to prove within the real time market. Improvement was much needed with research based programs as it was the major core area for pharma aspirants. Frequency betwween internal and external exams were too short.

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course as I dreamt of becoming a doctor since I was a child. In our college, the faculty is good and are qualified enough. They teach the basic things and make us learn things in a clear way. There will be two internal exams, one prefinal exam in every year. Those with an average of 50% in internal exams are allowed to write the final exams. There is quite a difficulty in passing the final exam as there is a vast syllabus.
