Remarks

I have applied for this college through councelling All the state toppers prefer this college There is a good balance for curricular and other activities I was asked to pay a donation which I had to take a loan but overall it was a average experience Opting for college hostel would be a least preffered since the location is far from main city

Course Curriculum Overview

I coose this course because of my family suggestion to proceed for railways job There were lot of well qualified faculty members With expertise in subject And regular monthly term tests were given to see the students understanding

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Placement Experience

Students can attend interview while on 7 th semester , companies like infosys, TCS visit campus to interview students , about 30% of students get placed , I had Planned to go abroad for job but I got government job, companies offer Package of Rs. 3 lalk starting

Fees and Financial Aid

There was good IT placement but for other stream placement is not as good as IT. there were unexpected fees imposed In between semester but loan is available for students with good marks above 70%, I didn't get any job through campus due to back logs

Jpr2k19 fest was conducted annually apart from that department wise activities are conducted The college supports basketball, track and field athletes, college provides breakfast and lunch. There was a racing club for RC vechiles

The hostel had cot bed system about 2 people shares a room,the food and snacks is unlimited The hostel charges at 60000 for year Where PG rent is around 5000/ per month Thiruvanmiyur has good houses for rent in cheaper than PG

The admission is based on 12th marks, there is no additional test if there fees consession if someone scored above 80% There are some additional advantage for students who are from fishermen community

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.
