Remarks

DTU takes admissions based on JEE Mains score and anyone with 3 or 4 digits rank should be able to make it to DTU. Environmental engineering opens around 7k and closes by 30-40k. You need to register for JAC counseling alongside JOSAA to be eligible for DTU, NSIT, and also IIIT Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Environmental engineering is a very old department of DTU and hence the faculty is very experienced. the labs are new and state of art, alumni are well established and exams are tough but easier comparatively. Most of the subjects are concept-based and anyone with little attention in class can ace the exams. The branch is scoring and hence it's easier to go for MS through this branch. Owing to the less intake in the department, the ratio of students and teachers isn't skewed unlike other branches at DTU.

Internships Opportunities

3

The internships and placement season go hand in hand and but the internship scenario for the Non-tech branch is very bad. Fractal, Google, Microsoft, Twitter, Sprinklr and all other tech giants come for internships and placement.

Placement Experience

5

DTU is known for it's placements and rightly so. No matter what branch are you from, There are way too many companies for you to choose. Only thing you need to be good to get a placement is have decent academics, good communication skills, and good aptitude. The average package is around 13 lpa and almost everyone gets placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of DTU keep on changing every year and hence a figure for the same is tough to quote but generally, it's around 2lpa. Fee waivers are there but they're only for people who have income less than 6 LPA, alongside this, there are scholarships by Govt which are easy to get no matter what your background is.

Campus Life

5

The flagship of the DTU is campus life and its fests. The campus is spread over 200 acres and it lives up to the expectations one would have for a college, having been to 20+ colleges over the country. I can vouch for the fact that DTU has by far the prettiest campus and that's the case by a fair margin. There are 3-4 canteens,8,9 messes, and our very own Maggi baba. The annual fest, Engifest is one of the biggest fests of the country with a cumulative footfall of 3 Lakh over its conduction. Classes are air-conditioned and so are the labs and libraries. In terms of Infrastructure, DTU is very very strong. Societies and tech teams at DTU are too vivid, you have any random inclination and you have a society at DTU for the same and they're very strong SIGs that compete nationally and have won several awards as well.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels are very old, although the newer ones are in construction for the time being the hostels are old from the time of DCE. Messes are okay, they will start off as a real good place to have your food but they tend to get poor with time. There are 7-8 messes so you always have a choice with food. If you are from Delhi, You are not getting a hostel, no matter what but you can settle for PGs which are almost as good, if not better. You can still avail of hostel facilities like mess if you are from PG.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
