Remarks

I applied for many colleges including IIT Delhi, BHU, MNIT Allahabad, IIIT Allahabad, and many other top engineering colleges of India. I didn't join these respective colleges just because of my low rank in jee mains and Advanced resulting in me not getting a C.S.E stream in these respective colleges and as was opting only for the same. The admission criteria for Computer Science engineering in NIT Hamirpur were solely based on the results of JEE mains. The admission process was quite easy as all the work was undertaken by JoSAA and admissions in all national-level government engineering college is governed by this one and only organization so migration of admission fees from one college to other was quite easy

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose Computer Science engineering because it is the leading engineering branch nowadays so it was no doubt I will be opting for it. Student to faculty ratio is quite good at the college as it is a government-driven college so there is nothing like a lack of funds causing poor faculty. Faculty at the college are really experienced at their assigned subjects and look for the overall development of the student in their subject as well as overall development. All the faculty are well qualified and many of them have their own research papers published which shows their expertise in their respective subjects. The methods of teaching opted by the teachers are no doubt one of the finest you can come across. The timely exams are quite difficult as they also take care to maintain the reputation of the college but the teaching at the college is well compensative for it, the exams are length especially in the online examination as to prevent cheating and proper invigilation is maintained.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are lots of internship opportunities at NIT Hamirpur there are general as well as branch-oriented internships students can apply for any internship if its branch criteria (if any) is fulfilled. Talking of me I am just a 2nd-year student so of now I haven't applied for any internship opportunity but will be applying soon for it. But the technical experience at the internship is quite good and helping .

Placement Experience

4

Students from the 7th and 8th semesters are eligible for on-campus placements. Many companies like Amazon, HCL, Flipcart, Samsung, Paytm ORACLE, Infosys visit the campus every year highest placement for the year 2020 in the case was 42 lacs, and the average ranging about 10.5 lacs. Above 90 present students got placed for C.S.E. I also look forward to applying for the role of SDE after my graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are quite high as you can see it is about 85 thousand per semester which is really hard for a middle-class student like me. and often students apply for a student loan to compensate for it. Overall it is quite low compared to private engineering colleges for whom per semester fees are almost 1 lakh or even more. Being a general middle class guy I don't get any such scholarship to overcome this money barrier.

Campus Life

5

It is an enjoyable experience at the college campus as it is created India's 2nd most beautiful campus and 99 among the engineering colleges by NIRF. One of the main reasons I joined this college was its campus. There are two annual fests organized by the college 1 tech and 1 cultural the tech fest is called NIMBUS while the cultural fest is called HillFair. there are abundant books and journals for the students in the college library. Classrooms are also quite good and fulfill all the basic requirements there are many sports and extracurricular activities going on throughout the year in the college has its own boys and girls football, volleyball teams, NCC club, and many more. talking about clubs and society the college is filled with them you can find one for your interest ranging from dance and music to photography and tech and most of all there is no bondage on any student to apply for any society depending on factors like branches proper interviews are held for the selections.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are quite good and cheap at college due to government fundings. Meals are quite standardized and average in taste quite good than what to think a college hostel will provide. All registration is done by the college administration and the process is quite easy.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.
