Remarks

I applied for Delhi College of Art & Commerce and Gargi college in 1st and 2nd cut-offs respectively. I got admitted in the applied colleges. I left DCAC because Gargi college was better as compared to DCAC. In 6th cutoff I was qualified for getting admission in Daulat Ram College and Kamla Nehru College. I applied for Daulat Ram College because it is better than kamla nehru, its reviews were better and it is in north campus too although the campus doesn't matter, the quality of study in the college does and I think I made the right decision. The cut off percentage in DRC was 95.75. To get admission in this college I had to cancel my admission in gargi college, my fees was refunded. I applied in DRC. To get admission your application first have to be approved, the next step is that it should be approved by authorities and the last and final step is fees payment and voila you are admitted!

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Each class has around 55-60 students and the faculty is very good in this college. All the teachers organize fun and interactive activities for a better understanding of the concepts. Faculty: student ratio is also good. The class is divided into certain groups and they are allotted specific tutorial groups in which they can clear their doubts easily. I chose this course (b.com Hons) because the faculty members of this very course are very good here. They are very friendly, polite and teach very well too.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

To get selected for an internship you will first have to fill a google form giving necessary details such as qualifications, why do you think you are suitable for this internship, and much more. Sometimes there is no shortlisting of google forms and sometimes there is. So, the selected candidates go through an interview process. It can be telephonic or through a google meet. It is a very easy step nothing to worry about, they just ask some basic questions to check your suitability. Various roles are offered under internships such as Human Resource internee, social media marketer, content writer, sales and marketing internet, and much more.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement cell of the college organizes a fest in which anyone from any year whether first, second or third can take part in and get placed/become internee. A lot of reputed companies visits that offers exciting incentives. Around 93% of students get placed each year. The highest package offered is 3 lakh per annum and the average package offered is 2 lakh per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for 1st year was Rs16890 for the whole year and for second year it was Rs16235. The placement cell of the college is very active and it provides various internship opportunities and add on courses on a daily basis.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus of the college is very beautiful full of greenery. Books and journals are available in the library easily. Even readings are available. There are a lot of societies in our college one can be a member of such as fine arts society, civils services society, photography club, dance society, music society, NGO, NSS, NCC, NSO and much more. One can find the society of their interest very easily.

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although, people say that B.Com doesn't have a great scope to it, I feel like there are many life lessons that we are taught during our college years. Since the introduction of NEP 2020, there has been a rather great emphasis on practical learning. In our college, we are asked for presentations and group projects to promote learning and communication. The presence of SEC and VAC also helps you develop your soft skills, groom your personality and live a happy and healthy life. Exams are help at the end of every semester. There are a few guides and PYQs with the help of which a student can prepare for these exams. They are relatively easy in my opinion and do not require extreme efforts. Overall, it's a great experience and a great opportunity to learn so many things.

In the context of a fictional scenario, the placement scenario would depend on the specific college within Delhi University. Some colleges have robust placement cells that facilitate campus placements with various companies. The placement scenario can vary, and it's advisable to check with the specific college for accurate and up-to-date information.
