Remarks

To gain admission to VIT Vellore, you must take the VITEEE entrance examination and obtain a score of at least 7k in order to be assigned to a branch of your choice. Without taking an entrance exam, direct admission is not possible. People nowadays commit fraud in the name of providing direct admission to VIT Vellore by soliciting large sums of money from parents. So, take the entrance exam, which is entirely based on NCERT. It is not that difficult if you are familiar with NCERT concepts and have thoroughly solved the previous ten years' question papers.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Academics and studies are a little hectic at VIT. This is primarily due to the way exams work. Unlike most other colleges, we have two midterm exams, the second of which is open book. Aside from that, you will have at least one quiz or digital assignment each week. The lab work must be uploaded every week, though this is mostly at the discretion of the faculty. As a result, aside from weekends, there is very little time left. However, there are no classes on Saturday, which is a plus. The faculty at this school ranges from excellent to average to poor. It also varies by the department; some departments have a plethora of excellent teachers, whereas others do not.

Placement Experience

4.5

Among the top companies, Microsoft selected 21 students for face-to-face placements, PayPal recruited 13 students, Udaan submitted 3 offers, Dyte 6, WorkIndia 8, Morgan Stanley 10, and Amazon 13. 4,444 Currently, the highest CTC offers Dyte 75 lakh of annual salary package to two 2,022 PhD students VIT. Other large companies such as Wells Fargo, Texas Instruments, Walmart labs, comprise, and Societe Generale are also gearing up to present student proposals. 4,444 Currently, 129 students from the 2022 graduate group have received offers from companies during a summer internship. In total, the best companies submitted 195 job and internship offers for VITians within 2 weeks of the employment season.

Fees and Financial Aid

A student with a rank of less than 20k would pay a tuition fee of 1.6 lacs per year, followed by a hostel fee of approximately (on average) 65k per year, depending on your mess caterer and room type (AC/NonAC/Number of roommates). So your college fees will be around 2.3 lacs per year, for a total of 9.2 lacs for four years, including hostel and tuition fees. The remainder will be determined by your pocket money and how much you spend on other things. So, if you choose a 4 bedded non-ac room and a decent mess, the annual rates will be 22000 and 43000, respectively, and 65000 is about the cheapest amount that you will pay for hostel fees. Scholership:VIT awards scholarships to the top 20000 VITEEE merit holders. Under 10000 rank holders receive a scholarship of 2 lakhs, while 10001–20000 rank holders receive a scholarship of 1 lakh. This scholarship will be paid to you in four quarters (i.e., $50,000 and $25,000 each year) and will be deposited directly into your account. So your fees will be around 10,75,000 rupees under 10k and 11,75,000 rupees under 20k.

Campus Life

You get to review one of all the most effective engineering faculties in India. The field is pretty and huge. The infrastructure is sweet and also the library is cool. There are several trees within the campus that keep the air nice and clean. It’s a pleasant place to live. Since there are multiple student chapters and clubs in VIT, there’s forever some or the opposite event happening in Greeno’s (lawn form of place). once you’re in the initial year, it’s all pretty fascinating and nice. you'll resort together with your friends here or in the foodies There are several student clubs and chapters in VIT that recruit initial and/or second-year students. you'll strive to be a region of them as a part of extra-co-curricular activities. It’ll offer you exposure and a little work experience. On-Campus food places: VIT has four on-campus food places

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation
