Remarks

I always wanted to do B.Tech in CSE. First, I applied to government colleges thru jee main but didn't score enough marks. That's why I appeared for VITEEE and got a relatively good percentage. We needed at least 60 % in 12th for the program. After that, I took admission to the college by visiting the campus for seat allocation. On the counseling day, we submitted our documents and paid fees for the first year. After that, we got our admission letter and took a campus tour.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I did B.Tech from CSE because it has the scope and I always wanted to be a software engineer. The faculty: teacher ratio is good in VIT. Generally, for technical classes, we had 45-50 students and for arts, management classes we had 60-70 students. All of our professors are very knowledgeable and hold Ph.D. We had a mixed teaching method with lectures and lab courses as well as Digital assignments. We have 2 CAT's and a FAT throughout the semester along with internal quizzes and assignments. Exams were generally medium to hard in difficulty. So, we had to study a lot but they were mostly easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

We are required to do at least one internship during our program. We are free to apply for an internship after 2nd year. VIT itself gives several internship opportunities during our 3rd year. I myself got a paid internship at VISA in my 3rd year. Apart from that, I was also a campus ambassador for few companies.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are very good in VIT. Students get placed in the 4th year. During my last year, we had to register with Pat center of VIT, where we received mentorship and guidance for placements. Placements go on for about 3 months. In 2021 nearly 700 companies came and made around 3000 offers. The average CTC was about 8 Lakhs with the highest going for 45 Lakhs approx. I would say nearly 90% of students appearing for placements get placed generally. I myself got placed in Paypal and got a good job as a software engineer.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had to pay a yearly fee of,50,000. In the first year, I had to pay 2000 as a caution fee and in the last year 5000 as a certificate fee. Apart from this, we didn't have any other fees or charges. VIT does have a scholarship policy for low-income students but I didn't avail any. I got an Internship in my 3rd year with a stipend of 10000.

Campus Life

4

Our library is very big and well maintained with a large collection of books from all genres. We study a lot in Library during exam times. Classrooms are well equipped and generally spacious. The classroom generally had a blackboard along with projectors and a whiteboard. There are sports facilities for cricket, basketball, and football on the campus. Also, there are facilities for indoor sports like chess, tennis, badminton, table tennis, etc. There are a lot of clubs and societies run by students like robotics club, chess club, nature club, debate club, etc.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
