Entrance Preview

Management seat, I was admitted in another college (Pavaai Institutions through their own entrance test) but that college was disgrace on the name of Education and Institution. I had to quit and look up for a real college. I heard about AMC from my peers and found out that this college was the only in its class of reputation that had seat available in telecom branch. Instead of wasting another year of my career I chose to go for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It was nice given the reputation and resource availability. Teachers are highly efficient and resourceful in terms of time management and knowledge in their field, management in the other hand was not that great for itself. The courses were always covered in time and with very high efficiency.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not provide any paid internship. It does provide Industrial visits though and allows students to go for internships if they want to go for it but does not source the opportunity itself.

Placement Experience

4

Not excellent but nice. Companies like IBM, Wipro, Microsoft etc do visit but very few are selected as the majority of the students are not potential enough for them also, students like me, who were highly irresponsible in the college time lost eligibility to attend the drives as well. Looking at the overall structure, opportunities were at high availability for the potential students.

College Events

4.5

There were many events. Being a lazy and irresponsible student I was not much involved in all of them. There were Departmental festivals, then a welcome event for new comers, and a special event to celebrate Engineer's day on the birthday of Sir M. Visvesvaraya. There were frequent seminars held for final year students for their awareness to the industry.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does not provide any loan policy from itself. Also, it does not provide any scholarship opportunity for other institutions but it has its own facility for students who are potential. There are different types and their terms which I am not aware of as they were for poor and M.tech students.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is highly adaptive for all class and types of students. Sports were organised on high level of enthusiasm, events and festivals were taken all that same seriously for the interested students, festivals included different competitions. Training sessions included debates and discussions over top trending topics. Research and development centre was made available for deserving and interested students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I never lived in the college hostel myself but I had friends who stayed in Hostel. To rate them, I do not think I am the person to do that. Although from what my friends say the hostel facility of service availability was good and security as well but food were not upto the mark. My friends being North Indians might not have liked the south Indian food but my south Indian friends had the similar experience.

Alumni/Alumna

Students here adapt culture of helping each other in any means possible. Also, people seeking help always find it from seniors and faculties in aspect they need it. The relationship between students can be defined as that makes way for juniors to grow up to guide coming juniors.

Exam Structure

The exams were structured in a pretty standard way as of all the colleges in Bangalore. There was just one difference that, usually colleges held internal exams for 25 marks and could not assess students due to shortage of number of questions, AMC had a little different strategy as they held these exams foe 50 marks and then averaged it to 25 to notify the university about a precise assessment.

Admission

The admission process was very smooth, to my surprise. I had to simply fill up an admission form and pay the fees through a Demand Draft and opt the branch. Though I wanted ECE but Telecom was something of more interest and under given circumstances I was happy for it.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties were efficient and managed in terms of their area of expertise. Not every place has an ideal condition but one can't ignore the excellence that lies as well. Almost all the faculties were very clear and technical knowledge oriented. Their standard was to be understood from a mind of capable student. I understand, few of them highly qualified to be just teachers and hence were researchers as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course I adopted since I couldn't do my neet. In 2nd year I thought of taking CSE . I GOT MANY SEATS IN OTHER COLLEGES FOR OTHER COURCES. But I wanted to adopt only CSE based . I mean social or economical or design thinking and scientific foundation.. these courses are of no use while learning engineering so this might be the drawback . Exams are conducted very strictly in our clg and I appreciate that !
