Entrance Preview

I took up Company secretary course which was a bit difficult course as its passing percentage is very low but i got 290 out of 400 in the entrance exam of company secretary and i cleared out the first level. Overall its a superb college for sports

Course Curriculum Overview

BMS and BMM faculty is really good with professors having good knowledge about their subjects. The faculty for B.COM is just about average with a few professors who have a mere 2-3 years of experience. Major communication is in English but a majority of teachers are found speaking in Hindi (the feel of Minority Quota) while a few use broken English.

Internships Opportunities

Thakur college ensures conducting On-Campus Placements for BSc IT and BMS students. Companies like Zenta Technologies, IBM, Wipro India Ltd., ICICI Prudential, MBT, Infosys, Accenture, Mastek, Cognizant and Direct I have visited the college till date.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of thakur college is a bit higher to that of other colleges in mumbai as its a privately owned college for bmm its around 45-50k a year and for bcom its around 25k thus its a bit expensive

Fees and Financial Aid

Total 45 types of scholarship are offered by the college of average fees of 18.5k per year. We have to apply for the scholarship in the college by filling all the details and then the college gives us scholarship based on our performance

Campus Life

Within the campus there is Nescafe tea stall and a local sandwich guy, the two of which are the hot favourites of any Thakur student. CCD, Pizza Hut, Dominos and a few other expensive food parlours are one of the greatest hangouts nearby the college. For those who dont want to spend a lot, there are few tapris outside the college. Also, one can cross the highway and have Tibbs Frankie in Thakur Complex. Movie lovers can enjoy the screening in multiplexes like Fame, Cinemax and Kulraj Broadway.

Hostel Facilities

Apart from the local hangouts inside and outside the college, the canteen is something to watch out for. There is one common canteen for all the students, so anytime you drop in; you find some one or the other. Good, delicious and hygienic food at a nomin

Most important thing I like about my college is they are like the whole college is so creative.
There are many different batches or mat department but when it comes to fest or festivals they comes together to celebrate it
Talking about placement, the placement cell is soo good that I'll say every colleges should have this level of college cell as they invited, big companies such as Deloitte, hdfc bank,KPMG

Dislikes

The point which I dislike about my college is they should increase campus
Some of the teachers really need to behave like when they talk to students they don't know the manners
Basically the watchman is not good at all I personally feel that they really need to change their watchman as their is many girls in my college so at least one or two lady watchmen should college hire for their safety

In my college they provide us a presentation concept in which they teach us about how to face the real world and the remove the fear of speaking to world .they try to make every student more confident in any manner. Basically my department is soo good that they teach us alot of real world how to speak,how to look,how to handle everything in professional manner

Memories with study

Likes

I like that boy and girl are very comfortable and good friends and the there so many activities of girl to enjoy in library and in sport room there was a particular time of play for girl and boy to enter in sport room and there was activity of dance
Also I like teacher and the staff was very cooperative they help students in study and also help in other activities like in sport music dance and Also there are separate teacher for other subject
Also I like the canteen of my also was very good and the food was very good and the staff of canteen was very hygienic and very neet the price was also affordable

Dislikes

I don’t disliked any thing but I want a change in the college because the play ground of the college was big but not clean
And the second thing i disliked was the class was so small and the space was so big

The course curriculum is generally relevant and comprehensive especially due to specific aspect like its practical ,updated syallabus ,aligned subject which strongly influenced my decision to choose this course for my future aspect and the exam frequency and timming are managed was fair not difficult theory was little hard

Likes

Faculty over here is amazing , well educated qualified friendly teachers u will get
Canteen food is hygeinec and very nice they prepare everything fresh.
Sports are being conducted everyyy month there is gymkhana for students to play

Dislikes

Washroom facilty can be made better atleast for girls washroom
Some crowd over here is not decent according to the locality here.

Placement Experience:

Placement in this college is nice they are offering good perfentage of placements over here!. Everything is consideredd well. 15000 20000 salary can be given to freshers which is good according to market. My plans after degree is to do CA.

Teachers are well qualified and experienced
The curriculum is suitable for students who are doing professional courses like CA CS ACCA etc.
There is always a scope for starting a side hustle in this college. You will find many associations and clubs

Dislikes

The examination results are always unexpected. Correction of papers and result declaration is unsatisfactory as marks are not given properly.
The extra facilities provided in college seems to be just for name sake because there is very limited time to access the facilities.
The schedule of the college is dynamic and there is no concrete timetable. Teachers complete their syllabus in last moment

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is relative to Mumbai University curriculum. College takes intiative in making the student confident as it includes practicing presentation skills and builds communication skills simultaneously.

TCSC is tremendous!

Admission was on 12th score as cut-off for Maharashtra board students was 78% and for other boards if from Maharashtra it was 84%. For OMS (Outside Maharashtra) it was 88%.
