Remarks

I applied at many IIIT's like iiit Sonepat , iiit vadodara , iiit Guwahati, and JCBUST YMCA. I didn't get admission to Sonepat and Guwahati but I got in iiit Vadodara and YMCA and between these 2 I selected YMCA as it is just 6km away from my home and iiit Vadodara is a new college. I had availed state quota. The maximum rank for admission in CS in YMCA approx 50000. The admission process was completely online and easy.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose CS as it is the most demanding right now and student to faculty ratio is okay and adequate. The faculty is good, better than my expectations as I have heard that in colleges teachers just focus on completing the syllabus and teach very fast, but here it is not so, teachers give attention and clear everybody's doubts. Exams are easy to pass, and there are only end sem exams, no mid sems, which is good for us.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Internship companies in our college are less and the ones with stipend are even lesser. I am currently a 2md year student so I don't know much about internships in our college but our college does not make us do any projects.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are good for the CS branch. Amazon, Samsung, Adobe, etc hire from here and offers a good amount of jobs. The highest package is 28 LPA and the average is 6 for CS and 4 for all programs. My plan is to get a job in amazon or Samsung and if not, then I'll do MS in Percentage of students getting placed is good here.

Fees and Financial Aid

It's a government college so fees are very less. It's around 70000-80000 rupees for 1 year without a hostel. There are no fees hikes and economically backward students can get support through NGOs which our college is tied up with and also they can get scholarships. Amazon and Samsung are some major companies that hire from here.

Campus Life

2

College is very small, fewer sports available here. Books are available in good numbers and the Library is big. There are some clubs but they take very less students, so most of the students don't get in any of those. There are some fests also but only club students participate in them.

Campus placements are offered with many companies visiting (700-800+). Highest packages can go high (Rs 30-56 LPA), but averages and typical offers vary (~ Rs 6-7 LPA), and placements rates differ by batch. Some students also pursue internships or off-campus jobs if campus offers are limited.

Placement Experience:

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

I had interest in full stack development, wanted to create websites. This course has collaboration with Xebia which provides a better learning approach for full stack No much improvement if the teacher appointed is great Timings of exam is really average but it is somewhat easy. Lookout for some exams because the faculty sometimes makes tough and tricky paper just to fail students
