SHISHIR KUMAR RAI's Review On Bihar National College, Patna

Bihar national college is one of the oldest college of Bihar. Its affiliated to Patna university which is the 7th oldest university of India and also termed as Oxford of the East. I studies Bachelor in Business Administration at BN COLLEGE. I got admitted in the very first batch of BBA. Most of my friends are placed in big MNC's and many got Government job.

The course structure was very good and it was equivalent to best Business schools of India. We studied many international authors and all subjects where also mainly of MBA. There was marketing management, Organisational Behaviour, Financial management, Human resource management etc.

The college had no internship facility and no placement cell. After completing the course student required to do everything on their own.

There is no placement and job opportunities. Students where required to apply for jobs on their own with no support from College or University. This was the worst experience of everyone. Even Bihar govt never took any interest in providing jobs to students of Patna university. Most of the students went outside Bihar and applied for jobs of their own.

There was no events celebrated in the college. Only Teachers day was celebrated with the help of each students. Sometimes some students celebrated the birthdays of teachers or even students. Patna university does not conduct and events or occasions for alumni.

Fees structure was very cheap as compared to private colleges. For first year we paid Rs 15,000. For second year we paid Rs 20,000 . For third year we paid Rs 25,000. So in total cost of 60,000 we completed BBA Course of BN College in a duration of total three years.

No, there was no scholarship and there was no loan facilities provided by my college or university. Any person interested in getting loan was required to apply and get approved on their own.

Exam structure was very good. There was practicals and theory both. We had internal and external both exams. At the end of year final exams took place .Final exams held at different colleges of Patna university. There was very strictness during exams.

I gave entrance test for admission of BBA at Patna College , patna university. From Patna College names of meritorious candidates where referred to BN College. At BN college they took interview and verified every documents. After that i got admission at BN college.
