Remarks

The admission process was smooth. The admission handling team was very good. They provided me with all relevant information and any sort of help needed. PI was held for admission. The PI went very smoothly. They asked basic questions like self-introduction, why MBA, strength, weaknesses, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

The overall course curriculum is nice. The instructor is best in their concerning areas. The percentage of boys to girls is 52%-48%. The Faculties are well qualified with years of experience. The term exams are easy if one focuses during classes.

Internships Opportunities

Different companies come to campus. They offer different roles in different domains like HR, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, etc. One can opt for 3 different Live Projects in an academic year.

Placement Experience

Placements are 100%. A no of companies come to campus; you can visit the official site of the Institute for more information on placements. Summer Placements starts from September/October only with numerous good companies visiting campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are okay as compared to other IIMs. Scholarships are provided mainly to SC & ST students by the government. In campus summer placement and placements goes on 100% of students being placed. One can contact the PGP office in case of any help.

Campus Life

Ethos is the annual fest of IIM Sambalpur. There are plenty of books & journals available. If one is having online studies then an e-library is provided for the same. Classrooms have a very nice environment. Sports and extracurricular are always there to boost you up during the hectic schedules. There is N number of clubs and committees which you can be a part of.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels have decent rooms. Food is also good. Hygienic and healthy food is provided. A number of quality food is provided. Veg and Non-veg both are provided. Rooms have beds, cupboards. LAN is provided.

Interview Experience

No there was no GD or Written test. Only Personal interviews were held. General questions were asked during the interview. One has to be prepared well in advance. Watch YT videos on how and what to answer during interviews.

Students become eligible after completing their internships. Generally after the 2nd semester students start to sit for the campus process. Companies like: Federal Bank, Axis Bank, Big Basket, SBI securities, Yash Technologies, In2IT, Asian Paints etc visit for hiring top talents from this college. Almost every student gets placed and further assistance is provided too. Majority of the students pursue their corporate career after getting placed, while some also go for higher studies. Others also ppt for entrepreneurship opportunities. Highest Package: 16.2 lpa Average Package : 4.5-5 lpa

Likes

The night life if good, and for me gym is the best part
The faculties have good experience and teaching skills
The mess food is also good as of what is expected as stereotype.

Dislikes

The classes some time are too much to handle
The n number of rules and regulations regarding the hostal
The basketball court and cricket ground could have been better

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is all about management where I get to learn how to manage time with daily n number of activities. Because PGDM course is actually to prepare a person for corporate life. And this course is actually a corporate simulation with education.

I was having prior experience in HR, so i took the course to enrich my knowledge 1:30 was the faculty-to-student ratio all the faculty were experienced in their domain with vast domain knowledge. The exam schedule was tough, and various exams used to happen on a daily basis with term exams at the end

Campus life is quite interesting with activities happening every month
Renowned faculty is there to guide us and the lesson plans include a lot of practical thinking
Placement is decent and plenty of renowned companies come on campus.

Dislikes

Time crunch. With so many activities students often feel burnt out

Placement Experience:

By 5th semester the student is eligible for final campus placements. There are more than 50 companies that visit the campus and the college boasts a 100% placement record. The highest package is 72lpa and the median is around 20lpa.

Admission:

I got admission to this college by taking the OJEE entrance exam, so I was exempted from taking the entrance exam like MAT, CAT, etc. And then, after my OJEE results were declared, I fill out the application form of this college and then, I attended the counseling session.
