I couldn't apply to any govt colleges because of the cut off and in comparison to other private colleges lpu had affordable rates and services. The admission criteria was pretty ok. Though you get to do a lot of paper work but you get their assistance. The admission was done on the basis of marks of lpunest exam. You also can qualify for scholarship through that.
Course Curriculum Overview
The psychology dept was good when i joined. Faculties were nice. However, i do feel that the subject is underrated when compared to others. Exams were of both moderate to high level. Overall, it was nice then.
Internships Opportunities
You get internship via their tie-ups or you can look out for opportunitues yourself and they will back you with duty leaves and support. There are both paid and unpaid internships. They have tie ups with hospitals in Delhi NIMHANS and Chandigarh for you to do your internship.
Placement Experience
Students coming to final year become eligible for placements and you get moderate packages and opportunities. You can register for placement classes which groom you and teach you alot about placements. Companies like google come and even hire students for good packages.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is 90000 per year. However, you can get 50% scholarship as well via LPUNEST exam. There are other modes of scholarships as well like quota/army etc. You can also sit for placements and get moderate packages.
Campus Life
Campus life is very lively. I, personally loved it. You get solace in the chaos. Hostel life is worth experiencing. The food is good. There's basketball court as well along with other grounds and courts. There is unimall for necessaties and game room as well.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is quite good. There are various types of options for rooms. You can get a hostel room or an apartment room( it has kitchen included). Basic amenities can be fullfilled by WHSmith in every hostel. You get laundry and salon as well. The rooms are good but don't expect alot. You get a bed,plastic chair and study table. There are lots of PGs as well. Overall, its good.
