Remarks
The admission process in Maitreyi was smooth. The staff and student volunteers were there to help us at every single step of the way. I did not have any quotas however since my best of four percentage fell under the first cut-off list released by the college, I could apply unhesitantly. soon after the admission process was completed, we were required to attend the college orientation followed by the department orientation, both of which played a great role in the smooth induction into the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am a Bcom(p) student. The faculty at Maitreyi is a mix of absolutely amazing and average teachers, all of whom hail from highly renowned institutions of the country. The college is well focused on its academics and prioritizes attendance, project submissions, and timely internals. The difficulty level of each paper differs, however with constant effort and by paying attention to the classes one can clear them easily. More than just academics, the due focus is given to encourage students to publish research papers and seek internships and mentorship under the guidance of faculty members.
Internships Opportunities
Throughout the entire year, various internship offers come and the student can choose one as per her preferences. While these internships are initially unpaid, you can use the experience to build your CV and seek paid internships in the future.
Placement Experience
The placement session starts for the final year students offering both placements and internship opportunities in well-reputed companies like Deloitte, Decathalon, Wipro, Aditya Birla Finance, PWC, Aperion, to name a few. The companies are divided into 3 tiers based on the packages offered by them. The procedure to apply for placements is simple and members of the placement cell guide you at every step of the way. the packages can range anywhere from 3.3-7LPA depending upon the job profile and the company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of Maitreyi College are affordable as compared to other colleges of Delhi University, you can complete your entire undergraduate degree in under 20-25K. Moreover, additional financial assistance and scholarship are provided to children hailing from financially weaker backgrounds.
Campus Life
While the thought of joining an all-girls institution might seem unattractive to many, the reality is that life in Maitreyi college is really great. You get to meet and interact with women from different cultures and backgrounds, the safe is space and sound for academic and non-academic purposes. The library is well stocked with an excellent librarian. As someone who was part of 3 societies, I can vouch for the fact that joining them was probably one of the best decisions I made. Adequate facilities are available on the campus for sports and other extracurricular activities. The annual fest of our college "RHAPSODY" is always well organized and super fun to attend. There are different societies ranging from the fashion society, the marketing society,enactus, hindi& English music soc, debating soc (trenchant), entrepreneurship soc, etc in the college
