Eligibility for BCA at my time was you should score equal to or above 60% in your 12 class. And one thing that I liked about eligibility was math as a subject in 12 class was not compulsory for taking addmission in BCA, however, you will face a little problem afterward if you have not studied maths in 11 and 12 classes. There are two ways of getting the application form first one is either sending the DD to banasthali address and receiving the prospectus with the application form at your home (they will deliver that to your address) this is how I received the application form, and the second way is that visit banasthali campus go to the main building ie Surya Mandir and deposit cash their and receive prospectus and application form there only hand to hand. The only improvement I want in the admission process is that this form filling and payment process could be done online also like they should have created an online portal for form filling rather than this DD sending and receiving app form process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I always wanted to do something on the computer after my 12 class but my marks were low and also I found btech a little difficult that is why I choose bca and at that time doing bca from banasthali was a great achievement (banasthali was in the third positon in the list of colleges from the top for doing bca degree in India at my time ) that is why I chose this course and this college. In banasthali female teachers are more as compared to male teachers as I have observed during my campus life, talking about student-teacher ratio it is approximately four is to ten. All the teachers are also highly educated and highly qualified and their teaching method is also good. Moving on the exam pattern we have four tests with 20 marks each one midterm exam and one final exam (two tests before midterm two after midterm before the final exam )level of the paper was also average not too tough not to easy but all the things would come from the course itself that teachers would teach nothing outside the syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

1

There is no internship for bca students, the whole syllabus is about study topics. The only thing is if you wish you can self apply for an internship but let me tell you one thing the internet speed in the banasthali is not good so you have to take indoor connection in the banasthali then only you can think of doing the internship. But honestly, the syllabus is so well covered in bca that if you do the syllabus properly then you will be left with no time for an internship. There are in-course projects with very subjects and these will start with the second year. The project level is all up to you whether you want to do a hard-level project or an average-level project.

Placement Experience

2

Six-semester students become eligible for campus placements. At my time placement of bca was not as good as it is now in 2021. Back to the time when I completed bca only three to four companies visited that to with 2-3 as an average package. But one thing I liked about banasthali was that for the companies that do their all India off campus drive for that also banasthali supports a lot, like at my time for TCS and Wipro company banasthali arranged a whole bus for the students of banasthali who wanted to appear for those test that would take us to the test centers so this was very helpful and comfortable for all of us at that time. The percentage of the students who got placed from my batch was only 20% as I remembered because students like me did not applied for the placement and wished to do masters in some of the other degrees and also we weren't that well prepared for the exam. My goal was clear after getting bca degree I wanted to do a higher study that is I wanted to do masters in computer application.

Fees and Financial Aid

As compared to other courses and programs in the banasthali university itself the fees of the bca course were a little high as compared to others bachelor degrees, but it is all worth it. Yes, there are many scholarship programs being run on the campus, there was a sports scholarship also the one who has achieved the desired position at the state level or national level was eligible for a scholarship but she should be from banasthali only, no other state or ex-university certificate was acceptable. Coming on the placement part I always wanted to do further studies that are after bca I always wanted to do mca that why I did not attend placement sessions, but at my time companies were less coming to campus but now in 2021 definitely this bar has raised. Moving on to the internship, there is no internship for bca students in the curriculum so if you wish to do it on your own then that is up to you.

Campus Life

4

The name of the annual fest is Apaji mela, it is very famous all over Rajasthan. Yes, there are lots lots lots of books , like it was the biggest library I have seen in my entire student life, there you will be issued with the library card in the starting only just after taking the admission and one student can issue up to four to five books at a time as I remembered for one week and if you don't return that book then you have to pay extra fine. There are all the sports that you can think of are available and one of the thing that banasthali is most famous for is horse riding and airplane flying. So you can do any activity, you can play any sports after your college hours and also banasthali more focuses on panchmukhi Shiksha. Yes there are many clubs that are organized by students on the campus itself, like for every department there is a separate club and each department organizes a separate there own fest and all other courses student are invited in that to explore and learn from workshop, etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are two-seater/sharing rooms, three-seater, and four-seater rooms, mainly two-seater are for Ph.D. students and for those students those are doing masters, In the facilities, there are only fans and almirahs and bed no ac or coolers are provided or allowed. Meal quality is good, they always serve hot meal wardens in the hostels will match the lunch and dinner timing according to your class timings, and always serve you a hot meal. we were also provided with snacks at 5 pm in the evening and breakfast timing was 7 to 9. There is no facility to rent a room if you are taking admission in banasthali then you have to live in the hostel itself. But if you belong/live in the tonk area only(near) banasthali then you can do up-down from your home otherwise you are left with no choice other than a hostel. Hostels are provided just after you submit your application form so there is no extra registration process for hostels. Also, your whole batch will be provided with the same hostel as you.
