A great university to kickstart your career!

Jee mains was the qualifying exam for getting into dtu, got to know about the admission process through jac delhi, the cutoff was high as the competition is cut throat nowadays, reservation did help though to get the desired branch, application procedure was quite smooth, the college administration was cooperative and solved the problems without delay!!

I was always interested in automobiles and machines, so mechanical engineering was the dream branch for me, as far as faculties are concerned, mechanical engineering department has around 50-60 teachers including professors and assistant professors, so the ratio is quite good, we didn't miss a class due to faculty's absence! Faculty is undoubtedly the best, their credibility can't be questioned, qualification and way of teaching can intersect each other in some cases though since teaching is an art and to make students grab what they are trying to convey is not every teachers cup of tea, so yeah some are really good at conveying things, some are strict but undoubtedly they are master of their fields! Exams are held twice in a semester, midesems and endsems, time gap between the two is around 5-6 weeks, exams are not tough if you're well prepared, questions are generally repeated, so it's not a big deal to pass the exams, sincere studying of 10-15 days would do magics!

Companies visit for hiring intern, and the stipend goes around 1 lpa for sde profiles, and avarage stipend offered is 20-30k! BlackRock/sapio/uolo/loconav/dr reddy/samsung etc are the companies recently visited! Apart from that, dtu has it's own internship programme called usip, which hires students for different roles in administration! Along with it dtu provides summer internship program for students where an opportunity of working with a faculty on a project is provided!

From the end of third year students are eligible for placements! Companion like google, paytm, Adobe, Deloitte, BlackRock, reliance, tata, wipro, tcs, apple, samsung, collegedunia, Goldman's sachs, etc and many more visit for the placements for the profile of develpers, analyst, product manager, consultant, business development etc! Highest package goes around 50-60 lacs (as of now it's offered by apple), it's not fixed though, all time high package offered in dtu was around 1 crore, so it changes according to year! Overall 75-85 Percent students get placed, and it varies according to branch, highest selections are from software/computer branches! I'll be joining collegedunia soon hopefully as I've secured an offer from it recently!

Fees hike is definitely a big issue since arranging such big amount is not an easy task and students come from different financial backgrounds! I'm availing an education loan from sbi which is branched in campus, apart from that I'm availing merit cum means scholarship which reimburses full tution fees, various schemes are available for financially weak students what one can easily avail for example post matric scholarship scheme/ fee concession scheme/ nsp schola/ mcm scholarship etc!

College life is undoubtedly the best! We have got enough things to do in the campus! Societies, club, sports ground, gym,fests, library, indoor court, canteen etc are enough to keep the students hooked! Annual fests like engifest/yuvaan/aahvaan are conducted in January, February and March majorly! Library is big and strong enough to help you get any book, it's big, quite, and clean and definitely provides a nice place to spend some time studying for exams! Societies are present in plenty, debate groups are also there!
