Currently due to pandemic there have no any internship given by the Centre

BVoc in media production. The new vocational course started in 2020. It's a professional course run by the Centre of media studies (institute of professional studies) University of Allahabad. 3 years vocational undergraduate course. Anyone who appeared/passed 10+2 in any stream even after graduation is eligible to apply. The application form is available on the university website every year, form fee is 1600 for general /obc candidates and 800 for sc/st/ph candidates. The number of seats is 50. Admission procedure through entrance test and by the process of counselling cut of depends on the number of candidates applying for this course. There is a total of 6 semesters In this course. It's a self finance course Course. fees structure is 25000/ semester. At the time of admission, candidates have to pay 27000(including university dues) + 2000 refundable caution money. Reservation of seats 15% for SC category, 7.5% for ST category, 27% OBC, and 10% reserved for the candidates belonging to EWS category.

3 year (6 semesters) course the actual aim of this course is to provide skill and training to make students market ready who are opt their carrier in the field of media. Faculty members are well experienced and friendly they have a media background, all teachers have their own specialization in their field they teach by the experiences they take from their field of work. Term exams are held every month with practicals and assignments works, field works assignments and after semester end semester exams organised by the university. Marks depend on our attendance, practicals, and skills.

The one innovative method of teaching adopted by the Centre is teaching and training through workshops and internship After the end of every semester centre provide internship opportunity to their students. However, Students can also take internships by directly applying to any company.

Students can opt for career in print, electronic, broadcast (radio) and web media as well as in field of public relation and advertisement.There are many news or tv agencies that take part in campus placement students who are in final semester can opt for this however the center didn't take a guarantee the placement of students. But by itself students after completing graduation degree can apply directly for various post in broadcast and print media. Campus placement based on the experience of the students taken from the center and depends on their work and skill.

It's a self finance course there have 6 semesters every semester students have to pay fees of 25000/semester INR and approximately 1300 INR university dues every year so by this the total cost of this course is 150000- for 3 years. Students can apply for scholarship both state or national scholarships every year. Also, students can take education loans through banks there have no facilities for any financial assistance. Campus provide internship opportunity to every student. Centre organized campus placement for final year candidates there are many TV, radio news agencies taking part in this however centre didn't take responsibility or guarantee for your campus selection.

Campus life is extraordinary. There are a lot of functions and annual fest organised by the centre on occasions such as media fiesta, and a lot of competitions held occasionally. Students can take part in them they get certificate and rewards by the Center coordinator. In the centre, there has a media library, especially for media students. Students can get a lot of books related to the field of journalism and media production it also has a media research cell. In extra curriculum activities, faculty staff gives tasks for field assignments to the groups. All the sports activities are held by the sports board of the university where students can take part.

Hostel facilities is given to every student who want this can recommend or can mention this during submission of the application form. Facilities just as same as the essential stuff that is necessary for students. Meals provided by the hostel is good menu depends on days. For registration of hostel candidates have to mention this in the application form. They can take form from dsw office in university. Hostel Rates are cheap as compare to private rooms. Or students can take their own room for rent in several areas in Allahabad nearby katra, salori, etc.
