Above average university

The admission process was quite competitive. There was an entrance exam that was taken by almost 10K+ students. As soon as the merit list was announced, the admission process was quite simple and easy. The application form is available on the university website.B.com course was available for all 12th passed students. There was no percentage cutoff. I found the entrance exam relatively easy and can be given by a little bit of preparation. There are definitely reservation quotas in admission. But I didn't avail of any.

I chose b.com because of my commerce background. The teaching faculty was not to be proud of. They arrived at class 15-20 mins late. Classes were quite irregular and disorganized. Exams were quite easy and can easily be passed by studying past year papers. The student-faculty ratio was somewhere around 1:100. The teaching methods used by the professors were quite outdated. The teachers hardly have any interest whatsoever. Exams were timely and conducted on time.

The fees were really not that high. Rs 7000 per year. Scholarships were available too for some students. There was zero placement assistance plus no internships. An economically backward student can easily avail of the scholarships at LU. The fees were generally not hiked. The most expensive course at Lucknow university was MBA which was of total 3,00,000 rupees.

There was no social life. No fests, festivals, or any other cultural event. Please don't expect an awesome college life at LU. The teachers are totally disinterested and hardly participate in any student engagement activities. The classrooms were pathetic with broken chairs, tables, and blackboards. No adequate lighting as well as ventilation in the classrooms. The library was quite good. There were plenty of books, magazines, and journals. But there was zero ventilation at the library with no fans. There were no social groups or clubs run by the students.
