improvement that I want is The process of admission must be smooth. Overall everything is great going on campus. frosh is a society that helps/helps during the admission process is a great initiative and makes the process easier and helps the parents who come during the admission times.

The examination process is smooth and thoroughly studied subjects are easy to pass. The academic calendar is followed strictly so exams are always held on time and are easy to pass. Midterms are usually 2.5 months after the start of the semester & the end term is held after 3 months from the midterm examination. all lecturers are well qualified but TAs are not good at their subjects. faculty&student ratio is 1:200 in lectures and 1:35 in labs. I have chosen computer science and engineering because it has very good placement and internship opportunities and internship opportunities.

not all students get an on-campus internship. very few students get internship opportunities in 3rd year. there are also unpaid internship opportunities provided by the college. the major advantage of an internship is students get to know how to work inside industry and companies and understands the environment inside a company. for internship recently axis bank has come with a stipend of 30k per month. almost all companies that visit in the 3rd year come for a summer internship program after that PPO is given to students and they get placed in that company only in which they are doing their internship.

from 3 rd year onwards students become eligible for on-campus placement. all major companies have visited in 2021 such as adobe, axis, Optum, salesforce, trident, ION, etc. average package ranges from 150k-180k and the internship stipend is 70k-90k for computers-related branches. almost 650 senior students have got placed out of 800 students in 2021. there is no fixed plan of mine as to what to do after my degree. I might be preparing for govt jobs after the internship.

The fee structure is quite high and expensive as compared to all private universities in the world. students get scholarships based on the merits CGPA and merit of jee mains score and boards percentage. Follow Thapar's website regularly for updates on both. almost on-campus internships start from the 3rd year with an average stipend of 75k-100k. placement's avg CTC ranges from 800k-140k. fees of Thapar university increase every year by 15%.

All kinds of sports facilities are there on campus, from table tennis cricket to the swimming pool, football tennis, baseball. There is also a park in Thapar university named nirvana park. A dispensary facility is also there, but it's written open 24/7, but they don't follow it. So if you get injured at night, be entirely cautious because, for help, you have to run to nearby hospitals. There is an ambulance facility that is available during the day also as well as at night also. classrooms are fully ac and neat and clean always, but labs don't hold all kinds of machines and other facilities needed during the engineering

hostel facilities are average. hostels rooms are small and congested. you can opt for ac as well as for non-AC from the second year onwards. in the first year, all students are provided with non-AC rooms. there are 8 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls at Thapar University. The best hostels are M, O, J for boys and N hostel for girls, hostel allotment is based on the CGPA of students.
