Remarks

To take admission in this college I have filled a REAP form, which is released by the government of Rajasthan under Rajasthan Technical University (RTU, KOTA). This university has a number of limited seats in the colleges of Rajasthan which are affiliated with this university itself. The application form(REAP form) are released within a month with the release of the 12th percentage by every board. A student from any board or from a different city, the state can fill this form. Computer science course in JECRC college requires more than 90% in 12th class. The faculties of this course are very much helpful and have great command over the subjects. As I was from the general category, I didn't get any reservation facilities. The admission process is very long. And the person has to go to college for reporting to do all the admission process like college form filling, submitting fees etc. This process wasn't available with online mode so, it was very risky in this pandemic time to go to college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

This course has very good scope in future as the world is soon going to be dependent on IT industry. The placement of this branch in my college is very good, almost 100% of students are placed. 2 teachers are there for 70 students. Also, one lab staff is there for every 30 students. But the lab staff doesn't teach well. Some of the computers are not working in every lab which sometimes is very irritating. The teaching methods are very well. They teach with a proper teaching plan and take tests after completion of every chapter. But they do not take classes regularly Midterm exams are held twice a semester and one semester end exam. Exams are held according to the schedule given by RTU. But the worst part is that the timetable of exams is given before 1 day of exams which become very difficult to prepare in a short period. Midterms are very easy to pass but semester end exams are very difficult to pass because the paper comes too lengthy according to the time given.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

The college does not provide many internship facilities. But it has collaboration with some internship websites like Internshala, udemy, IBM skill build, LnB, etc. These websites provide courses by taking money but using a college email id we can get courses for free. From this year college has started in house training for 3rd and 5th semester students in collaboration with upflairs. But the training wasn't very good. They discuss very little about the concepts and gives only one project in a whole training session. The projects don't matter much in college activities it only matters in placements. Even the college teachers don't help much with projects. Good projects will have a great impact on placements. At last, talking about internship activities, are average but for projects, one can take help from seniors and from various clubs related to their projects.

Placement Experience

4.5

For placements students become eligible at the end of the 3rd year before this student have to can do an internship in different companies. In this college, many good companies come like TCS, Accenture, HP, Google, Microsoft and many other reputed companies. The highest package was Rs44 lpa given by Amazon to a student and HP hired 11 students with the package of Rs 11 LPA. College helps very much in placement activities. Students with less percentage are even placed with the package of Rs 3 LPA. Computer science has almost 100% placements as compared to other branches. For good placements, students have to be good in the coding part, data structure and algorithm, C language and any other language they know. Before placements, training is given to all the students on how to present themselves in placement interviews. But this is helpful to only some extent. After B.tech if I get placed with a good package then I will do that job otherwise I will go with M.tech in computer science

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the college are decided by the Rajasthan technical university which is an initiative by the Rajasthan government. The fees of one year are approx Rs74, 000 and a security amount of Rs10, 000 is taken by the college during the admission time. Many scholarship opportunities are provided by the college and they also help to apply for many other scholarships that are provided by the government. RTU also give scholarship to 50 students from each college. This scholarship involves a total waive off of tuition fees only development fees of Rs11000 is to be given to the college per year. For staff members, if their children are studying in this college then some relief in fees is provided to them. All of total the course is affordable to do. Even the fees is very less in comparison to some other government colleges

Campus Life

4.5

Renaissance is the cultural fest which is conducted every year between the month of August and September. This cultural fest provides many opportunities from volunteering to participating. Many activities related to sports, culture, robotics and many coding opportunities are also provided. There are 4 blocks in the campus related to every branch and every block has a huge library which has almost all kinds of books related to all subjects but those are all old editions and not in good condition. Also, they give books for a very short time period. We have to reissue the book again within every 2 weeks and if we are late to reissue then they charge a fine of Rs 50. Many clubs are there related to acting, dancing, coding, sports, robotics and clubs like soch and zarurat that holds blood donation camp every 2 months. The clubs are the best part of the college. No amenities are provided by the college as they show hi-tech classrooms in their magazines

Other Applied Colleges

SKIT | B.Tech computer science

This college doesn't have good placements and doesn't provide much opportunity to grow and improve p
