Remarks

For admission in kiit there should be a minimum of 75% in class 12. The application form is available on the college website and is free of cost for all the students. The application opens mostly around January February of each year. After successful submission, dates are announced for the kiitee entrance exam and the students can select the slot as per their convenience. There are no reservations available for general category students but some students are provided with scholarships who score top ranks in kiitee entrance examination. The pattern of paper is MCQ type similar to that of JEE pattern. After which the results and rankings are declared post which the students are invited for counselling before the admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I had developed my interest in computers since my school days which pushed me to take it forward as my career. Due to this, I took the course for computer science and engineering for my bachelor's. The faculty present are very helpful and knowledgeable and supportive towards students. A brief estimate of the faculty student ratio is around 11:1 to 13:1. Most of the faculty are either MTech or a PhD or either pursuing their PhD's. Most of the teachers use innovative teaching methods and involve and encourage students to discuss and interact with each other. Exams are conducted almost every 4 months in the semester and the paper are easy to pass if a student studies well.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There are various companies that offer an internship after which they convert people to full time. Some of the famous names are VMWare, Capgemini, Accenture etc. they provide an internship with a stipend post successful completion of which the student is converted to a full time employee.

Placement Experience

4

Kiit provides students with an opportunity for college placements. Students are eligible to appear for internship opportunities and college placements from the 6th semester depending on the visiting companies. Various companies like VMware, dell, hp, high radius etc types of companies from MNCs to startups come to the college with various perks and packages for students. almost the placement percentage is above 90% in KIIT.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know much about the fees hike policy but an estimated cost of study during the entire study including hostel mess and college fees can be calculated around an estimate of 18 to 20 lacs. I didn't receive any scholarship but received an on-campus job offer from a reputed MNC with a package of around 7 LPA.

Campus Life

4

There are libraries in every department apart from the central library which has books on all the subjects that a student want. There are also many tech fests as well as cultural fests apart from the annual fests. The classrooms are also smart classrooms with computers.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 3 different types of rooms available for students 3 bed Ac, 2 bed Ac and 3 beds non ac rooms. The meal quality is also acceptable and the students are provided with both veg and non veg foods available in the mess. All the hostels are very clean and are pretty affordable with 3 bed non-ac room being the cheapest and 2 bed ac rooms being the costliest. You can book the hostel during the registration and also give an application in the hostel administration office at the Chintan block.
