Remarks

I got my admission when the pandemic broke out so due to that reason the cutoff and eligibility for the courses was lowered a bit than usual but still there was a lot of competition during my admission process and I barely got into a course that I wanted. Since I didn't avail for the reservation benefits I don't know the details about that

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course cause it has a high scope of getting a good package and our future is all about AI. since I am currently in the DERABASSI branch of our campus the strength of the CSE course of our branch is small so the faculty: student ratio is about 1:25. All our faculty members are highly qualified as all of them have got a Ph.D. degree. I have given most of my exams in online mode i.e. online quizzes so it wasn't difficult for me to adapt to the system as I have done the same when I was preparing for my JEE exam but the difficulty bar was set very for the exams compared to the previous offline exam of our institute

Internships Opportunities

2.5

It is tough to get an internship during your college as there will be a lot of competition as there will be 10 companies that will be coming and each one of them will only hire 5-6 internees. You need to have really good skills and projects to get hired, the companies offer a stipend of Rs. 1 lac each month

Placement Experience

4.5

We are eligible for placements in our final year only, the highest package offered in my course is Rs. 50 lacs, lowest is Rs. 7 lacs and average package is Rs. 10 lacs minimum CGPA required for you to sit in an interview is 7.5 but you'll also require some good skills related to your course if you want a good placement so all in all it depends upon you.

Fees and Financial Aid

I would say that my institute is not on the affordable side it is rather very expensive to consider to other private institutes and there is a 10% increase in fee after every semester but you can always apply for the scholarship if your exam CGPA is above 9.5 and if you have scored 90% and above in your board exam.

Campus Life

4.5

Most of my life as a college student has been spent at home because of COVID and has been able to experience only one annual fest when I was on the campus for 2 months which is MELANGE 2021 but there has been a lot of tech fests that were organized by our technical and geek societies.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

As for Hostel facilities, there have been given enough infrastructure a room could that one needs for his or her daily life and you choose whether you want an AC or non-AC room and facilities like a gym and a kitchen is also provided and the meals are fab as well I think the Hostel of my institute is pretty affordable if you ask me as the fee for three months is around Rs.30000 so Rs.10000 for each month with all those facilities and such great meals ain't bad if ask me.

Other Applied Colleges

Chitkara University | Computer Science and Engineering

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
