Remarks
The admission process was fairly simple. I had to register on the IMT website before the deadline and post the results of the various MBA entrance exams were released, I got a call from IMT regarding the shortlist for the interview process, which was conducted online due to the pandemic situation. I took both CAT and XAT and got a higher score in XAT (94 percentile).
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen marketing from IMT Ghaziabad as the institution is well known for this specialization and there are esteemed faculty who have in-depth industry experience at IMT. The curriculum is designed basis the case-solving approach and students get an enriched learning experience through discussions with fellow peers.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of internship opportunities at IMT Ghaziabad from various notable names in the corporate world. The opportunities range from marketing, finance, operations, and HR. Freshers as well as the people who have work experience are given equal opportunities.
Placement Experience
The placements at IMT are improving year on year despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Please visit the official IMT website for details regarding placements. The batch of 2022 secured 100 percent placements which is a record feat for IMT Ghaziabad.
Fees and Financial Aid
It costs around 19 lacs for the two-year PGDM program at IMT Ghaziabad. There are scholarship opportunities based on the academic performance in the PGDM program. Students can also avail of education loans from leading banking and financial institutions, which have tie-ups with the campus.
Campus Life
The campus is vibrant and energetic, with various fests such as Passion and Chackravyuh to name a few. The campus boasts of state of the art technology, a library with access to various industrial databases and related business articles and journals, football, volleyball courts, gym, mess, and all the other amenities that one would expect from a premier B-School. There are a lot of people to meet and build networks with, and the nightlife on the campus is also good.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is decent enough for a premier B-School. Two individuals share a room that consists of separate beds, almirahs and comes with ACs as standard. The mess food is of good quality and the menu is different every day, thus providing variety to the students.
Interview Experience
There was no GD for my admission. It was a direct PI. The PI focused on my general profile and on the current happenings. It differs from person to person and for me, it was revolving around the automobile industry as I was more interested in that when I was interacting with the panelists. There are no right or wrong answers as far as I am concerned. The panelists generally lookout for individuals who have proper reasons as to why they gave a particular answer, their confidence level, communication skills, etc. Last but not the least, please don't forget to smile and be relaxed.
