Remarks

The admission to Thapar institute of technology can be done either by boards marks or jee mains score. The average cutoff for the COE branch is around 96% boards marks but then gets up to around 94% in subsequent rounds

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The faculty: student ratio is around 1:68 for lectures and 1:23 for lab classes. Faculty members are very well trained and the offline exam curriculum is the best but the online exam is not up to March the teachers of this institute are very qualified knowledgeable as well as helpful. The lecturers help us in every way they could

Class Size: 68Course Fees: INR 420000 per year

Internships Opportunities

A few companies visit the campus for the summer internship for the 3rd year which also chooses very fewer people but the crowd is quite high therefore competition is also on the higher side. But for the final year, there are a lot of opportunities as most companies who come to the college recruit most of the students from the final year. you are eligible for an on-campus placement drive from the 3rd year onwards.

Placement Experience

4.5

Almost everyone gets placed. Top companies like Amazon Apple DE Shaw media.net Paytm rapid synopsis visit the college to hire students. Placements were really good even in these COVID times many top companies visited and almost every student was placed here.

Fees and Financial Aid

You can get a scholarship on basis of your jee mains score. You can get either 100% for 50% scholarship in your first year on the basis of jee mains score and in second-year scholarship is given on your CGPA

Campus Life

4.5

There are numerous fests in Thapar. And various societies organize hackathons throughout the year. Our campus offers all sorts of facilities in the academic block including well-equipped labs a beautiful and peaceful library clean and huge air condition classroom. The quality of food served to us was also very good.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

In my first semester, i was given hostel J which I enjoyed a lot. The food was also awesome. It repeated in 15 days and they do not negotiate with the quality of food. The room had all basic amenities and we were provided with hot water 24/7.

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
