NIT Warangal Review

My mindset was cleared that I will complete my CSE B.Tech from NIT as NIT college's CSE programs are very popular and receive good placement offers. So I was fully focused on my academics and was preparing for JEE mains with full focus. After clearing JEE I was looking for an NIT college as per my academics record and JEE score I was able to meet the cutoff criteria of NIT Warangal. NIT Warangal selection weightage score is 60:40 means 60% weightage is given to JEE score ad 40% weightage is given to the academic score. I submitted the admission form and my JEE score by filling the admission form from the college website by paying Rs. 1400 as an application fee (during my admission process). I was able to secure my seat for NIT Warangal in JOSAA counseling.

The curriculum of the program is as per NIT standards. The curriculum is very interactive and follows all the current and latest industrial norms. The curriculum helps us to develop our innovative skills by giving us plenty of opportunities for research and project work. The curriculum helps us to develop our analytical and decision-making skills through case studies, simulation activity and project works methods.

The internship is optional but the internship depends according to our skills. Internship depends according to the coding skills and if we have good coding skills the stipend is also good. If anyone who does not receive any internship can work under the professor of the college for any project work. The average stipend for an internship was around Rs. 55000/-.

We are eligible for placements after completing the 3rd year of our program. The college has a 100% placement record. As per the fee, the college provides a good return on investment. The placement committee plays a crucial role in the college placement process as the placement committee is fully cooperative and helpful they guide us during the college placement rounds. The highest package for our batch was around 41 LPA and the average package was approx 12 LPA. Around 55+ companies visited our campus. Microsoft, Wipro, Infosys, Adobe, Oracle India were the top recruiters.

The college provides scholarship on a merit basis and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. There are scholarship programs like Institute Merit Scholarship, MHRD Scholarship, TS E-Pass Scholarship, etc which helps college provide scholarships. The college infrastructure is well maintained. The classrooms are big and spacious. Spring Spree is our college annual fest and Technozion is the tech fest of our college. The college also organizes different kinds of project work and monthly small tech fests are organized on the college campus to promote our innovative ideas and to show our innovative skills. The college library is big and all types of books from around the world are available in the library and all these books are also available in e-book format so that we can have the books access anytime without visiting the library. The campus also has sports facilities like a cricket and football playground, badminton court, basketball court, volleyball court.

The hostel is very good. The rooms are big enough and rooms are available on triple and double accommodation. The rooms are equipped with basic facilities like beds, study tables, and almirahs. LAN connection is also available in rooms and a high-speed WiFi connectivity facility is also available for the internet. The hostel mess food quality is okay above average but they maintain the hygenic level properly. The hostel has all the basic facilities and amenities as per our comfort.

The faculty are very professional and around 80% to 95% of the faculty of the college is of Ph.D. level and with good experience in research work which is very helpful for us. The faculty is very cooperative and ready to share their experiences with us.
