An Look Into The IMT Ghaziabad Marketing Program

The interview process was well organized. I was called for an interview having secured a XAT score of 97.7%ile. I only had a personal interview as part of the process. For organizing the interview the college had assigned volunteers. The volunteers were there to provide any assistance regarding logistics or technical issues. Because of the pandemic, the process was conducted online. Time slots were given in advance, and the entire process went according to schedule. From the interviewing panel, there were 3 faculties conducting the interview, they were very warm and it wasn't a stressful interview.

There are about 60 students per section with 3 terms per year with an End term exam to conclude each. An average of 8 subjects per term and therefore, it is initially hard to cope with the curriculum, but later we start getting used to it. We are given frequent quizzes during the curriculum. Class participation marks are allotted, apart from Group Projects and Presentations carrying marks. Grading is relative and hence, it is not that hard to pass. Overall, the faculties are good and extremely approachable. The course is challenging but rewarding, it includes case study analysis of papers across the globe from institutes such as Harvard.

As mentioned earlier, the placements offered are quite good and that translates to the internship opportunities. Everyone is given a fair share of opportunities to do a summer internship, fairly early in the first year of the curriculum. The internship duration lasts for about 8 weeks and includes great learning opportunities across a diverse set of verticals. The range of opportunities given to students allows them to apply for companies across sectors and interests.

The Placements offered are very good. Ample opportunities are given to the students with enough training on how to convert them. Despite the batch strength being high, they are able to attain 100% placement is quite an impressive time frame. During the last placement season, 500+ students (the entire batch) were placed within 17 days. Moreover, the companies that come to campus include top financial services, banks, FMCG, and marketing companies in the country.

The total fee for the course is about INR 19.5L. There are quite a few opportunities provided for Scholarships to a few sections of the students, primarily based on financial power and merit. The fee is quite high but the campus is good with a lot of facilities available at the student's disposal. The facilities include a gym, tennis court, library, Bloomberg terminals, Rec room with a TT table and chess, a badminton court, and a ground amongst other facilities.

The campus life is great at IMT. A lot of new people to meet. There is an opportunity to make a lot of close friends who will be a major part of your life. There are multiple clubs and committees, so there are lots of opportunities to be a part of one. Clubs and committees include the student council, the placement committee, international relations, marketing and finance clubs, cultural committee, sports committee amongst others. Each club has its own event Passion the college's flagship event is organized in December and includes a good mix of academic and cultural events. Chakravyu is the college's sports event which is considered to be one of the biggest in India amongst b-schools.
