The application form is absolutely free of cost and students can find it on the official KIIT website in the admission section.
Course Curriculum Overview
I preferred doing CSE from KIIT because KIIT has got the best placement ratio for CSE branch in whole Odisha. Apart from the placements, I was also quiet interested in Computers so this was also a reason for mine taking admission here. The faculties here have depth knowledge in their subjects and most of them are IIT or NIT postgraduates. The semester exams are neither too easy nor too hard, a student can easily get good marks if he refers to the notes given by the teachers.
Internships Opportunities
Specifically talking about my course I.e. cse we had summer training programs during the vacations. Students need to pay a certain amount of money and can attend the summer training camp which is really worth it. You get to have practical knowledge about real time work in industries. Industry professionals train you during your camp and help give you an industry surrounding so that you get to know the real pressure when you work in a company. Many companies like Microsoft even select students in their 3rd year itself giving them PPOs during training camps.
Placement Experience
KIIT claims that it provides 100% placement to its student's, but that isn't practically true. But yes, almost 90% of students get placed every year. Top companies like Wipro, Cognizant, Adobe, Tata, Mahindra, Microsoft, Google, TCS visit the campus during placement drives. In 2021 a student got Rs 5500000 lakh rupees after getting placed in Microsoft. The average package of KIIT is around5.5 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
To be very honest the college is pretty expensive, you will have to pay almost 3.9 lakh rupees per year and around 19 lakh for the full course. But college also gives scholarship to the students who are financially weak. There are many types of scholarship offered by college like in the name of founder, then a scholarship to 5 students every year who are financially weak, then scholarship on the semester marks etc.
Campus Life
Every year KIIT organises a 3 days annual fest named KIITFEST in the month of December. There are many events in the fest like Backyard Cricket, Hackathon, CAE, Dronacharya, Bio Mind, Foodie-Tech etc. KIIT has also got one of the Biggest libraries in the whole of Odisha comprising lakhs of books for students. Then college has many clubs which are managed by students like Korus, Kalakaar, Kreative Eye, Keurig, KIIT Wordsmith, TEDX-KU etc. These clubs also organise many events for students. KIIT has got an Official Instagram page where you can see photos of all the activities and functions which happen at KIIT.
