Remarks

NIT Warangal is among the top 24 engineering colleges of India and NIT Warangal is the first NIT to be established in India. The college also has approved Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-III) by the MHRD, India. The TEQIP-III program gives good research opportunities and works on the development of faculties and the college staff. to be part of NIT Warangal I have to fill the admission form from the college website by paying 1400 after clearing the JEE exam. during my JOSAA counselling also I was able to get a seat in NIT Warangal.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum of the college is very vast and it is up to the international industrial standards. The curriculum is a combination of management and engineering teaching. The curriculum is very detailed and helps us to understand the basic concept of engineering from the beginning level to the advanced level. The faculty of the college is also very good. They understand the importance of the syllabus and teach us accordingly. The faculty teaching methods are so simple and good that we are hooked into each lecture and ability to understand the engineering concepts easily. If still, we are unable to understand anything we can easily approach the faculty and ask for help.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The internship program of the college is optional but I will suggest that you should opt for the internship because the internship is an opportunity for us to learn about the corporate world and it helps us to gain professional experience which is counted during the time of college placement. If we opt for an internship the college placement committee help us to get a good company for the internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college is able to reach a 100% placement record and all thanks to the placement committee. To take part in the placement drive of the college, we have to register our detail with the help of our respected faculty and we have to perform well in our academics. The college placement committee guides during every round of placement and makes sure that we are placed. The highest package was around 40 LPA and the average package was 11 LPA. The college committee was able to invite more than 70+ companies such as Microsoft, TCS, Wipro, Oracle, Adobe to visit our campus for the placement drive.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college complete fee for the B.Tech program is around 5 lakh which is quite reasonable in comparison to many other engineering colleges of India and the kind of placement that the college provides is very good return on investment. The college provides scholarship through many schemes and scholarships on a merit basis is also available. There are more than 5+ scholarship schemes through which college provides scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

Spring Spree is the annual fest of the college and Technozion is a college technical fest where we get an opportunity to demonstrate our innovative skills and design ideas. The library is the house of many national and international bestseller authors and these books are also available online in the form of an e-book. The college labs are modern and all types of modern tools are available that help us during our research and assignment work.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The rooms in the hostel are available on a double and single sharing basis. The hostel infrastructure is very well maintained and the hostel bathroom is cleaned on regular basis. The hostel mess food good and the menu changes at a regular interval. The hostel provides us with 24 hours of power and water supply. The hostel warden and staff work very hard to maintain the hostel decorum. The hostel also has 24 hours of high-speed WiFi facility for internet connectivity.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
