Remarks
The admission process involved filling out the detailed application form after clearing cut-offs. Then a detailed interview was taken. The marks were taken of the interview, CAT score, and any achievements. They could have conducted Group Discussions. There are no provisions for reservation at IMT. They could have conducted an extempore round. The college had created a portal for admissions that worked seamlessly.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is a detailed one. Different subjects like Marketing, Finance, Operations, HR are covered in the first 2 terms. Students then specialize in their interest domain. Also, exams are conducted at end of 6 terms and the difficulty is moderate The teachers are well qualified and have published various research papers. The faculty count is over 50.
Placement Experience
The placements have been excellent this year reaching new highs. The average pay was more than 15 lakhs and the placement process was complete within 17 days. Prominent companies include Goldman Sachs, Deliotte, Credit Suisse, Marico, ITC, KPMG and Loreal among major companies. The placement process happens in the last week of November. Most of the finance job offers are in Metro cities while marketing jobs can be in Tier 2 cities also.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is 19.53 lakhs, which is inclusive of hostel and mess fees. 60 % fee is submitted in the first year and the balance is submitted in the second year. There are no stipend jobs while pursuing the PGDM course. Students who have done well during the first year are given scholarships. The fee hike is gradual and it is increased incrementally each year.
Campus Life
The Campus is a vibrant one. Many events happen throughout the year. Passion is a 3-day star event with many events. Chakravyuh is reputed as the best sports festival, Apart from this, there are many events of respective clubs Markup, Finesse, Race, etc. The libraries are well stocked and one can issue 3 books at a time. There are various sports facilities on campus such as Badminton, Volleyball, and Football.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is pretty decent. We are given AC and Geyser facilities. The rooms are spacious for two individuals. There is a water cooler and Geyser facility provided on each floor. The mess is centralized. Quality food is served with a wide variety. The mess is hygienic with proper seating arrangements. There is a simple one-step registration for a hostel. Students have to change hostels at end of the first year.
Interview Experience
Yes, the interview was primarily the crux of the entrance process. They also evaluated us on our CV and past academics. GD was not conducted in light of Covid. The interview was a depth one where the main focus was on our motivation for pursuing MBA. There were questions on general awareness. Group Discussions and written tests were not conducted as it was difficult in online mode.
