Remarks

I have wrote KCET entrance exam , through that I got new horizon college of engineering for my Ranking for mechanical engineering course.I come under ST category so I got reservation seat. The admission department is good in our college. They guide us through entire details about the college and course.

Course Curriculum Overview

New horizon college of engineering is an autonomous college that comes under VTU. So the course curriculum is managed well by the college. And exams are at end of each semester. Internet assessment will be there thrice in one semester excluding lab internal. Faculties are huge in number and knowledge people, with there help anyone can clear the exam with risk. Faculties are highly qualified (M.TECH, PhD, MS holders). Their way of explanation is satisfactory.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship will happen at starting of the 4th year although college gives the opportunity to do an internship at end of every year for students. Bosch, BEML, HAL, Toyota, cognizant and other companies give internship opportunities in our college. Some are striped and others are for experience and industry exposure. The project will start from the 2nd year onwards. And the project is given more importance as a curriculum part.

Placement Experience

Placement is the main thing in engineering life. In the new horizon, college of engineering on-campus placement happens in huge number placement activity starts from the 5th semester only up to the 8th-semester end. Tcs, Accenture, Capgemini, Lowe's , Bosch, exl, cognizant and many more companies do on campus. The highest package is 12 lakh per annum from Lowe's and the lowest package is 3.15 LPA from tcs . Around 70-80% of students will be placed on campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is quite high , as new horizon college of engineering is top college in Bangalore . Fees structure for student who comes from KCET ENTRANCE EXAM is 50500+40000+6000 per year and exam fees of 3000 per semester. For management students 200000 donation and 150000 fees per year. Scholarship will there for reservation students (SC/ST and other low category ). Coming to on campus placement is good enough will get .

Campus Life

Life at campus is great at new horizon college of engineering. Especially intracollege fest "SARGAM" which happens every year in month of September which in huge scale. And every month small kind of activities will be happening in campus. Annual sports meet will be there. College encourage students in extra curricular activities. College have good number of social groups like NCC ,NSS, Leo club , fashion club etc .this club are run by students under faculty guidelines and funded by college.

The faculty's are well qualified, and they have a good teaching methods.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been from diploma background, after diploma I joined this course as later entry (direct admission to 2nd year). In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

Faculties are highly experienced and ready to help all the time
Good infrastructure with well equipped labs, library, sports
Adds extra curricular activities like teaching AI and other trending topics in college

Dislikes

Washrooms need to be clean and good to use especially for girls hygiene it has to be good
Hostel food is not that great and needs improvement in the quality of food
Thought schedule everyday hard to cope up with everything

Good the teachers find the best ways to make the subject interesting and teach us in the most interesting way they will help the weak students to feel the subject as a cake walk and help all the students out in the same way

There is a discipline in our college and good atmosphere

there is no specific sports for there course
vehicles parking is not good our the college

from 5 th semester there will be campus place ment is there There will many companies are visited , like Amazon, google, There is 60 lakh per annual but i didn't known which companies there will be 80 percent students are getting placement my plan is to make money and help the poor peoples There is beast placement in our college , there will be a internships and good here for Hailey package in this college

Good Infrastructure and Career Opportunities

Likes

Yes the first thing I liked is the campus and the environment there is no harrasment and strict action will be taken.
And second thing is faculty members are so helpful and they always help to students and different festival
And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Students got opportunity to eligible after 3rd year mainly in 7th semester students get opportunity for campus interview. In my college the company which came to hire is congizent and microsoft and amezon and dell nearly 80 to 90 company are came. The company offers is highest is 40 lack per annum which google provide and minimum is 4lack . Mainly 80 percent of the students are placed every year but due to war happened in the global impact in placement I want to do masters in abroad and then go to the company

Campus is good and mainly located near Whitefield.
too good supportive professor. Staff are too chill. Some staff are like our bestfriend's.
Lab equipment are good . You are not facing any issue with pc.. it's good

Dislikes

There is only few events in a year. I think only 3 events.
Hostel building is too bad. And hostel food is too bad.
There is no field to play games like cricket, football.

Placement Experience:

After 8 sems we are eligible for placements. TCS ,Dell and many companies visited mvj. Highest package of mvj was 22lakhs per annum. Basically some companies ask CGPA at above 8. My plan is a developer after my engineering in python language or Else I will continue my dad business

Less fees but wonderful knowledgeful experience

Particular teaching subject wise was not so clear.
Placement training courses coding wise was not that good.
Water facility sometimes was not good but it was ok nothing to dislike

Placement Experience:

1. From 7th semester onwards placement activities start. But from 1st semester itself they start training. 2. Windcare, Rinexx, Wipro, Infosys, A1 fence, Microdegree, Intellipath and so on. 3. Intellipath offers 10 lakh per annum and so on. 4. 85 percent students where getting placed. 5. To start my own venture.

Best location of college in the silicon valley of India

Campus area of the college is less than expexted
Conditions of hostels and mess is not good
Teachers and professors are not good in explaining concepts to students

Placement Experience:

From the end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placemets.Many companies visit the campus including Oracle, UI path, etc offering students interships and full time jobs.The highest package offered to the student is 50 lakh per annum from UI Path and the average package of CSE branch is around 10lakh. Nearly 93% of students are placed in various companies.My plans after graduation is to grab a good on campus placement and look forward to my other goals in my life.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
