VIT-BS Review

I have given the MAT exam and on the basis of my MAT score, I got the college. One can find the application form from the VIT college website.GD/PI was conducted in a nearby city and everything was well planned by the University.

I wanted to do a management course. I found the college good enough to pursue the course. Classes were good as the sessions were quite interactive. The smart classrooms were used for lectures and presentations. Teachers/faculties were well qualified and were having vast experience. Guest lectures and Industry visit was common thing during our 2-year learning process. Exams were conducted on time. Mid-term and End term exams in every trimester to check on the progress of students.

At our time, we have to look for companies for internships in VIT-BS. NO such facility were provided by the college. Students on their own went to different companies for internship. No stipend and no pre-placement job were offered.

After the 5th-trimester one is eligible for placement. Many companies like IDBI bank, Central Bank of India, RBS, etc came for campus placements. Giving good placement. The average package was 3.5 lakhs. Around 80% of students got placed.

The cost to study at my time (2008-10) was quite affordable. They used to assist in education loans. Did not have any idea about scholarships. No job on campus with a stipend was offered at that time. Financial assistance was offered in taking an education loan.

The library is the biggest asset of VIT-BS. All sorts of books are available there. Even at the night, one can access the library. For international journals, we were given access to smart library rooms. The classroom is quite modern and up to date for conducting any presentation seminar or general classes. College Annual fest Rivera used to be a highlight of the year.

The hostel facility was good. Food was not up to mark in the mess but a lot of other options are also available like food court within the college campus as well in the hostel campus. The registration policy for a hostel is quite easy, at the time of admission only you have to fill out the form for hostel and mess.

MAT exam I have given to get into college. After that, a GD/PI was being conducted in the nearest city. Current affair questions were given to discuss in group discussion. 15-20 minutes were given to discuss the topic after that one-to-one interview was conducted.
