Remarks

The eligibility of the course is 60% in PCM subjects of class 12. I joined the college through TNEA conducted by the government of Tamilnadu. In case of joining in management quota, the applicant must directly approach the college for admissions.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I had chosen the course of Electronics and communication because I wish to join Qualcomm as a VLSI testing Engineer and also I am keener toward the latest gadgets that we use. The ratio of faculty: to students is 1:30. Most of the faculties have completed their doctorates. There will be an assessment test every month and daily tests in the morning.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

In our college, there is a specific learning platform called interactive learning platform shortly ILP. Here our college has tied up with many domestic and international companies for the upliftment of the student's knowledge. Most of the well-performing students will be getting internship opportunities from the space where they have spent their time and efforts on. Our students are also working with companies to provide practical solutions to the problems by building up the real projects funded by those companies. One such that I have seen is the car that is controlled by the driver from somewhere else from the actual car. Mostly our college encourages students to be an entrepreneur.

Placement Experience

4

The students are eligible to be placed from the fifth semester onwards and most of them will be placed from the fifth to sixth semester itself. In a rare case, they get placed in the seventh semester. Companies like me. Cooper, Qualcomm, TCS, WIPRO, ACCENTURE, ZOHO and the list goes on. Most of the students will get double or triple offers. The highest package was 22L for 3 students in Human resource and the average salary is 4.6L Mostly all will get placed. Except if they wish to go to higher studies or for government jobs. My plan is to get a good job and then plan for either mba or m.e

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees including either hostel or bus are around 1.25L-2.85L. Fees structures may vary depending on the mode of admission.I don't notice any hikes in fees structure so far.As my cut off was above 185 I received a Paarthasaarathy scholarship from the college that provided 50% fees waiver and so I am paying 80k as my total fees including hostel.

Campus Life

4

There are so many activities that our college students are involved in. An annual fest named takshila will be organized and conducted by the students of our college. Every year there will be national level symposiums for every department. The central library of the college is renewed and it is digitalized. The classrooms are well equipped with projectors and good wifi- facilities. There is full cricket ground for the students. There is a gym too. To improve the technical knowledge of the juniors there are various groups ands clubs run by the seniors

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel room are well equipped. The new hostel built recently is a villa type one that has kitchen, hall and so on. The old hostel has 3 fans 10 cupboards 6 cots 2 study tables which is well enough for 6 members to stay up there. The mess provided is actually good but not good always. This is not our home to blame anymore. It's ok. The registration process is included in the admissions itself. As the college is built a decade ago, Mostly the last year students are advised to stay out near the college as they would go out for companies and so on frequently.

Other Applied Colleges

Thiagarajar college of engineering | B.E(Mechatronics)

I had chosen this college for more practical orientated learning

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
