Remarks

The admission process was based on scores of JEE mains exam. To secure a seat at NIT Warangal, it is safe to have a minimum of 98.5 percentile for students of the general category, and for those seeking admission into circuit branches, 99 and above percentile is suggested. This varies with one's choice of branch/program.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is a bit outdated. But faculty are up to the current industry trends and ensure students understand the requisites to secure good placements. Faculty students ratio for our course is good enough. All the faculty are Ph.D. holders and highly experienced in their respective fields and follow good teaching standards. Chemical engineering is one of the most sought-after courses at NIT Warangal which is why I chose this over other circuit branches. Coming to exams, we've two minors/assignments, one mid sem and one end sem exam for one semester. Specifically talking about the Chemical engineering course, it's not that difficult to secure good grades in exams. You just need to be regular in classes and be up to date with what's being taught.

Internships Opportunities

3

This year more than 450 students have received internship offers from various organizations. However, the intern opportunities are comparatively lesser for core Chemical students. We only have a few companies like Dr. Reddys, Reliance industries, etc with a fewer intake of students. Talking about Chemical internships, it's better to have professors' recommendations in hand if you are looking to build connections and profile.

Placement Experience

4

As it's a college of National eminence, placements are quite good. Almost all the students get placed with many companies including tech giants like Microsoft, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, DE Shaw, Visa, Qualcomm, Uber, SAP, and Arcesium among many others. This year(2022), the college has achieved 1000+ milestones of students placed. Further, the highest and average packages offered during 2022 placements were INR 62.5 LPA and INR 14.5 LPA respectively. About 150-180 companies visit the campus every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure varies depending upon the income category of students. Below one lakh per annum category, there are no tuition fees. Those belonging to the 1-5 lakhs category need to pay one-third of the Tuition fee. And above 5 lakh per annum category students need to pay the full tuition fees. Also if you belong to SC/ST category, your tuition fee is exempted. Apart from this, students with the highest CGPA are eligible for Institute's merit scholarship under which you'll receive full tuition fees. And there is also a National Scholarship for which all students are eligible. Criteria would be good Intermediate marks, SSC percentage, and main rank.

Campus Life

4

Considering everything, I can say campus life at NITW is a wholesome experience. We have a huge central library with a vast collection of books to choose from. The facilities and infrastructure of the college are also very good. The classrooms are highly equipped to provide a better learning experience and atmosphere. Apart from academics, we also have courts for badminton, basketball, tennis, and other sports including a huge PED ground for students. Students interested in sports can play whenever they want. Coming to clubs and society, from Dance and dramatics to entrepreneurship we've it all. To accommodate the diverse interests of students, college clubs are run by students under mentoring of faculty as advisors conduct various events regularly. Our annual fest is called Springspree which is considered one of the biggest fests with celebrities and students from all over the nation gracing the fest. We also have a technical fest called Technozian every year where tech enthusiasts participate.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities for girls are decent. Facilities like gym room, medical care, and sports are provided. Mess food is not bad. The menu is accommodation for students from different backgrounds. Hostel fees when compared to other private colleges are not that high. However, you need to pay a caution deposit of 15,000 at the beginning which will be refunded later. Excluding that room and Maintainance services account to 4000 Rs. Washrooms are usable and cleaned on regular basis. Ventilation and room space are okay.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

I feel the course is relevant because we are not just studying theory all the time. Along with regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects and problem solving which actually feels useful. It feels like the course is designed to help us build skills that we will need later not just clear semester exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

Before joining I thought it would be like any other engineering college where we just study for exams. But after coming here, I felt it's a bit different. We do have theory classes, but there are also coding sessions, projects and assignments almost every week. Sometimes it gets a little hectic but I think it's actually helping us learn better. The syllabus feels relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course has been a nice mix of theory and practical work. We don't just sit through lectures all day there are coding sessions, projects, assignments, and hands on activities that make the subjects easier to understand. It feels like you are learning skills that you'll use later. One thing I noticed after joining is that the classes don't feel the same every day. Some days are regular lectures while on others we are working on coding problems, assignments or small projects. That change keeps things interesting.

I think IN-campus Placements are the best thing that this college may offer. This is one of the top college in Telangana so almost every top company gives a chance to this college companies like Cisco, Insfosys, TCS, Cognizent, Accenture and many more. The highest package is 34LPA last year 2024, and the average is 7LPA i think.I think almost 60 to 70 percentage of people get place in the companies.I plan to get place in the top most comnmpany in the Telanagana after getting degree.
