Remarks

Sahyadri College Of Engineering and Management, Adyar, Mangalore is a college located along the Mangalore-Bangalore highway. A beautiful campus located along the mountains gives us pleasant views. The nethravathi riverside has a separate fanbase here at Sahyadri. Coming to the academics there are very experienced faculty improving both our curricular as well as Non-curricular activities. There will be many competitions for the students to be honest sometimes daily like Hackathon and other stuff. Students interested can make use of such competition. And coming to the celebration and activities in Sahyadri., without any doubt I can say we have the best administration(HoD) who always is keen for providing us with the best in all the Non-curricular activities. Most all the days(freshers... Etc) are celebrated grandly. And finally the placements. Here in Sahyadri, the placements are increasing drastically every year. Recently 2 students got placed in Google.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I was interested in Data Science. So I opted for it All the faculty are well experienced. Most of the faculty here in Sahyadri have completed Ph.D. In their respective courses. The exam will be conducted in semester vice considering 3 internals.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Great companies like Capgemini, adobe, Cohesity, and sap labs visit for campus interviews where our students grab the offers. In the final year, the students prepare a project which helps them in this interview.

Placement Experience

From 5-6 sem the students become eligible for placements. Since here in Sahyadri, we have placement training we are well prepared for the interviews and other stuff. The highest package was 40lpa by our alumni Leela manolatha placed at Microsoft.

Fees and Financial Aid

There will be no drastic fee hikes. Hikes happen according to the years. Many scholarships like NSP and SSP. For SC/ST students there will be many scholarships for which they have to discuss with the administration

Campus Life

AS I said before we have the best celebration here in Sahyadri. Fests will be done in a grand manner Months depends. We have the best library indeed And also we have a Digital library which has to make use of it wisely

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

Brief review on SCEM

When I was applying for colleges, I explored a mix of government and private engineering colleges offering BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). I received confirmed admission offers from a few private colleges, but I ultimately chose this college because it felt like the best overall fit for my academic goals, affordability, and learning environment. And another reason was it is nearer to my home as well. Basically rejection is based on cet ranks. And it works in the same way most prestigious colleges give admissions to lowest cet rank holders. The admission process of this college was smooth. Eligibility: Minimum 60% in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics Exams accepted: KCET Cutoffs: Moderate cutoffs compared to government colleges, varying by category and branch Admission Modes: Entrance exam counselling and management....Read More
