IIIT Surat, B.Tech, Computer Science and Engineering

Reviewed on May 3, 2022(Enrolled 2012)

Remarks

The college was well known for its most advanced labs and teaching skills. Also, the scale of the internship was high. IIIT Surat's main programme is the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). JEE Main scores and counselling by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority determine admission to the programme (JoSAA).

Course Curriculum Overview

The general curriculum of data science consists the data structures and algorithms, industrial engineering and laws, theory of computation, computing networks, operating systems, system software, software engineering, and computer graphics, among other topics. With seven options to choose from. The course content is well-managed and of high quality.

Course Fees: INR 67000 per year

Placement Experience

4.5

I have seen the recent position data which is similar to my batch in which more than 40 firms visited the school to make placement offers during the recent 2021 interview for the position. The most expensive bundle was INR 41 LPA, while the most affordable option was INR 9.47 LPA. Some of the top advertisers at IIIT Surat are Microsoft, Rubrik, Adobe, Amazon, Directi, Lowe's, American Express, TCS, and Deloitte.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My tuition charge for one semester is 67500 and my yearly tution fee is 135000. There is nothing else required to pay in the semester fee for the course but the amount is payable when there is some extra course content is purchased, It may be a subscription or any other equipment if borrowed from the universities premises.

Campus Life

3.5

We mark cultural events, festivities, sports, major events, key days, social activities, studies seminars, quizzes, and other activities to strengthen and build a candidate's abilities. There are a few extracurricular activities, but they are improving; Among academics, there are no creative societies or organisations. The labs are all well equipped with cutting-edge technology.

Admission

The JEE mains test is used to determine admission to this institution. I took JEE mains and got a good score, therefore I applied for JoSAA, and after clearing the cut-off, I was accepted into this college following counselling. This is one of the 20 colleges that have been established, and it is located near IIT and NIT. Under such organisations, there is a lot of opportunity and education.

The parul university review

Likes

The campus view is awesome we all will see new things everytime and it feels fresh at the morning.
The personal development of particular students have been in focus of every faculty which is awesome.
The behaviour towards students of every professor is the best all are understanding and calm towards students.

Dislikes

There is a system of gate pass means whenever u need to go out of main gate with the permission we are not allowed to go.
In hostel the washrooms are not so clean for the students with common washroom hostel
The mess food are boring sometimes and the food of the food seems to be same everytime

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I have a great interest in coding and this field is based on coding so i choosed the computer field. -The curriculum of the college are based on the things which will help us in future for real world application. -The way they i based on pdf means they make a full note of a subject in pdf and explain that and which makes clear to us so I don't think they should change. -There is a enough time to study for exams it depends on us how me manage it and the difficulty level is medium it is based on what we have understood till now in studies we have studied.

My Life at Parul University as a computer science student

Likes

The collage infrastructure is really good and vibrant, it is well developed.
Campus life is really good, there are food courts, playground, libraries avaliable.
The whole campus has wifi avaliable, they've got atm too.

Dislikes

there are quite a few restrictions like no roaming allowed after 9:30pm.
mess food is not so good, its managable but sometimes it feels miserable
for every small thing to be done, lots of paperwork is required whether you need to go outside the campus or needs a NOC

Placement Experience:

in my unversity, proper placements usually start from 7th sem, however after 4th sem, the collage provides the opputunity to go for impact traning if youve got more than 60% in your 10th, 12th and throughtout the semesters from that traning top permorning student get a chance to sit for product-based companies. as of now (jan 2026), the highest placement recorded is 60lpa at microsoft, the average is aroudn 3.5 lps to 6 lpa, most of the recruiting companies are service based such as capgemini, infosys, tcs etc. around 200-250 students gets palce after heavy filtering, i plan to go for higher studies,
