Remarks
The eligibility of taking addmission in BTech course in KIIT is 60% in 12th board with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The student must qualify KIITEE exam for taking admission to this college. A form of KIIT is free of cost and it is available on KIIT's official website if you secure a rank under 1k you will be awarded a KIITEE merit scholarship of Rs. 10k/month.
Course Curriculum Overview
In the present scenario, everything depends on technology so taking computer science as my career is the best option for me. The faculties are very friendly with the students. They will try their best to explain the concepts except for some of the professors. The student-faculty ratio is 12:1. Two exams are held every semester - mid-semester and end semester and quiz tests are also taken frequently.
Internships Opportunities
The MNCs which visits for the campus placements also provide internship opportunities and this year 800 students get an internship in HighRadius with Rs. 14k per month stipend. Real-life projects are required for getting a good internship. The internship season actually starts after 2nd year.
Placement Experience
Campus Placements is one of the best things in KIIT which starts after the 3rd year and the internship season starts on starting of 3rd year. Most of the MNCs visit for campus drives. For this year's 2022 session, the highest package is 52 LPA. Almost 100% of students get placed and I will go for the placement after my BTech Degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees are a bit on the higher side. Tuition fees are Rs. 175000 per semester and hostel fees depend on the type of room you choose. 3 seater non-ac - Rs. 28k per sem and 2 seater non-ac are Rs. 40k per sem, 3 seater ac is Rs. 50k per sem, 2 seater ac is Rs. 60k per sem. If your rank is under 1000 in KIITEE, you will be awarded a KIITEE merit scholarship of Rs. 10k per month.
Campus Life
KIIT organises the KIIT fest every year and this fest is the biggest cultural fest in the eastern Indian college. The newly built central library is like an Office of an IT company and comprises more than 20k books and articles. Classrooms are well furnished and installed with central AC. Sports are the best part of KIIT. KIIT has almost all the sports complexes available for the students. KSAC- KIIT STUDENTS ACTIVITY CENTRE is for all the co-curricular activities. KIIT has all the societies for the coding, cinema, drama, dance, singing etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are good enough to live and are equipped with all the facilites and there is option for AC rooms. Bath Rooms cleaned daily and installed with geysers. Mess food average. Hostel registration fees Rs. 15k Hostels fees varies depending on the type of room you choose. Hostels wardens are also very helpful.
