Remarks

The admission process was that one needs to possess equal or greater than the percentage scored in the 10+2. Though, the process is same for all the colleges under the University of Delhi, the people of the unreserved category tend to suffer. This is because there are a lot of students in the college, even in my class itself, that just take the course for granted because they got it through the reserved benefits. The only improvement I could wish for is a common enterance test or an interview during the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The department of English is one of the oldest departments in our college, and everything about it is beautiful. If you are open to understanding literature from diverse backgrounds, this course is for you. The faculty are very hardworking, and while there may be flaws, it is a pleasant experience to learn with them. They are open to different interpretations, and everyone has a different way of teaching you, which makes the course less monotonous. Their diverse knowledge and strong opinions make you ready for the world and not just for exams. The professors are very understanding and friendly if you are respectful towards them. The curriculum chosen is pretty practical as well.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college has an active placement cell called as Opus, that makes sure to pitch all the golden opportunities to the students. Be it internships or jobs, one can find a variety of companies in their profile. Though, an average package goes for around 2 LPA which is pretty decent. But, if a student is capable and passionate, they'll surely find the best one!

Fees and Financial Aid

The college keeps you up to date with all the internships and vacancies so that's an advantage for students. There are good companies if you have the capability for the same. I have got two internships from the campus, one with a stipend of 3000rs and the other of 5000rs, and I am very much satisfied with the same. The fees of the college is too less as well, considering all other private colleges and universities in Delhi.

Campus Life

5

Being a girls' college, there are prejudices that people have, but Bharati has changed my perspective about girls' colleges. There is a sense of sisterhood and strength, and there are inspiring women all around from all types of backgrounds, making it a safe space for women. You may not get the OG Delhi University vibe here since the college itself is away from the campuses, but that doesn't mean it is not worth it. In the end, it is not the campus or fests or infrastructure that really makes a college good enough, it is the people. At Bharati, almost everyone finds their people to make memories with. You will find all types of people, but more often than not, you will find good people. The societies are the best ones of the University of Delhi. Be it Artvilla, the art and aesthetics society or Advaita, the western dance society. Even the fests, like Phagun, are fun-filled.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being brutally honest I don't think that the course contributes a lot to our preparation for the real world but it teaches us very new things which I like. The course might not be very helpful in our real life preparation or the preparation for the real world but at the same time it enhances our knowledge and teachers as about various new things so I am satisfied with my course and whatever the curriculum includes I like it

In term of relevance I'll say that there are many topics which should not be taught as they are way too old and contradicting in modern times. New tumes problems and solutions should be taught in replace focusing on present.

Placement Experience:

Final year students are generally placed with an average package of 7-8 lakhs for management programs. Companies including the big 4 like EY, KPMG, Deloitte and other reputed companies have visited and many offers have been made. Around 60% of the students get placed in management branch. After getting the degree, I am also planning to appear in the placement opportunities.
