Thapar institute of engineering and technology review

The infrastructure of the college is good. But due to lockdown college started getting admission on 12th class marks which I think is not so good to maintain the good environment among students. But campus life of Thapar institute of engineering and technology is very good. The campus is very lush green in nature. But coming to infrastructure point is not that so good compare to other colleges in other segment. The teachers in this institute are good but as like others students have to study from other sources.

I chose this course because in this we can learn both about electronic and computer. The course curriculum of enc is both mixture of computer as well as electronic. The teachers are good but there are some expectations. But coming to that point the teachers are really helpful and are always ready to guide you anytime. The qualification of teachers in this institute is very good. Most of teachers graduated or done their higher graduation from IIT. In one semester there are two term exams (mst and est). Instead of this many others small weightage exams are also there. You can easily score good marks if you are studying one month before exams.

There is a project semester in our course scheme at thapar university. Students must spend atleast five months in the industry in that semester. Yes internship are provided to students on the campus. If any student performance is far better among other students then the student can also avail the internship opportunity in third year. Many companies come in thapar institute of engineering and technology in third year to provide internship opportunities. Companies including microsoft, jpmc, Amazon, golman Sachs and many more.

The students are eligible for on-campus internship in 3rd year of college and placement also starts from third year. Many companies visit the campus every year. Companies like microsoft, Amazon, dellotie, Paytm, Flipkart, Adobe and many more. The students get enough opportunities to get placed in good company in starting year of the student as a professional. The average package of computer engineering is around 10-11 lpa per year. The highest offered package varies from 40-60 lpa according to students credibility. The placement percentage and package are obviously is very good compare to other colleges in this segment

Thapar is quite an expensive college. It cost around 4 lac per year only for course fees and 1 lac per year for hostel fees if you want to avail that facility. But it is worth spending money because the facilities it provide to students compare to other colleges is very good. Thapar also provides a scholarship to students, the most significant among them being in the merit which is granted on the basis of student performance in one year(cgpa). The maximum amount of scholarship that thapar institute of engineering and technology provide is 350000 which is again on the basis of cgpa.

Multiple sports ground and coaching present, college events: moderately busy calender with 1-3 monthly events. The variety of food that hostel management provides to students is good. Mess and cooking arrangements in every hostel is very hygienic. Students can wear whatever they want , no dress code is issue present in this institute. Students are allowed within restricted timing. Classes in some department have ACs installed and the experience that you get in theatre type and smart classes is very good for a freshers. There are many societies where students can join and explore including entherprenunship development cell, microsoft student learn chapter, creative computing society, mudra, virsa, thapar movie club and many more.

Basic furniture provides in a hostel like study table, high speed wifi, almirah, chair, and a bed with provided mattress from institute. The fees for hostel accommodation is around 50000 and varies according to the hostel you get. Very less power cuts happens in hostels, so students don't have to worry among the electricity. Room cleaning service is also provided by just sending a message in WhatsApp cleaning group. Laundry service is also provided to students which I think is very good for students.
