Remarks

Filled out the December test admission and easily got admission without any process as I am from Nepal. I have opted for Computer Science as I have an interest in it and I want to be a computer engineer in the future because it provides many job opportunities and has many scopes for higher studies in the computer science domain.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The faculty is well educated. Some of the teachers are very good and friendly but apart from them most of the teachers only teach through ppt, and slides and only focus on completing the syllabus rather than making the students understand the syllabus. Most of the teachers are unapproachable outside the teaching hours and do not clarify their doubts. Apart from that the teachers are good and can make the students understand the concept if studied hard. We have to study on our own and cannot only rely only on the faculty. One can score very good marks if he/she started preparing a month prior to the exams.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Good data structure knowledge and a strong computing base will help you to get placed in many good MNCs. There is a project Semester in the 8th Semester in which the students must spend at least 5 months in the industry. Many technical as well as non-technical MNCs visit for technical as well as non-technical job profiles.

Placement Experience

3

The placements are good. The placements start from the 5th Semester. There are two types of internships which are provided on-campus, one is the Summer placements that take place during the Summer Vacation and the other is the 6-month placements. The placement ratio is very good and the average placement is also higher compared to other colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are very high compared to other colleges. As a Nepalese Student, I got admission through SAARC Quota and I have to pay the same fees as the Indian students. The fees go approx 23 lakhs for the entire course. A scholarship of 40% on tuition fees is provided on the condition that the student has more than 80% in his/her board exam and continues to maintain a 7.5 CGPA in the college.

Campus Life

4

The campus is very big and beautiful. There are all the facilities in the college from sports grounds for different sports to shopping complexes and other stuff. The buildings are fully air-conditioned and well furnished. There are many events that take part frequently along with many societies. There are also food shops/stalls on almost every corner of the campus. The campus is also very green and pleasant to look at. The hostels are very well maintained and the rooms and mess are very neat and clean. Proper hygiene is maintained.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel and mess fees are on the higher side, but apart from that, there are no complaints. The hostels are beautiful and well maintained with all the necessary equipment such as reading rooms, gyms, badminton courts, the mess in the hostel, TT area and many more. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The mess is also very clean and proper hygiene is maintained.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
