There are three ways to take admission. KCET - only for those who are from Karnataka PESSAT and JEE mains 40% of seats are reversed for KCET students The cutoff for CSE at PES University through KCET is around 2900 and through PESSAT it 1500

Course Curriculum Overview

The CSE course at PES University is updated regularly. The faculty to student ratio is good, you will not face a situation where you are unable to communicate with a prof. The faculty teaches us using the slides created by them, the teachers are highly qualified. We have internal exams and end sem exams once the syllabus is completed.

After the end of the 6th sem, we see companies visiting the college many get internship letters, Most of them who have a CGPA of above 8.5 are placed in tier 1 companies. The placement procedure same for an internship is that first tier1 companies come then tier 2 than tier 3, then again tier 1 companies come the cycle continues.

Placement Experience

Placements are the main highlight of this college in 2021 the highest package was 1.5cr in Confluent, for CSE the average placement is above 10 lpa. After 3rd year many companies visit the campus, the placement of both campuses are combined

Fees and Financial Aid

In 2020 the fees for Btech in CSE were 3,30,000 in 2022 its something around 4,00,000 There are several scholarships provided by the college MRD scholarship, CNR Rao scholarships and distinction awards on basis of your SGPA

Campus Life

There are many clubs at PES, lots of tech fests, and hackathons are conducted. The fests are Atamtrisha and Maya. The labs are well equipped with all the latest technologies. We have a cricket ground, Volleyball court and a basketball court and other indoor sports facilities are there

Hostel Facilities

In one room there are three students, and the size of the room is sufficient. Mess is average Mess charges are combined with hostel fees. There are many flats and PG available near the hostel, many students prefer staying in pg or flat.

I wrote PESSAT and in the counselling, I got my seat at CSE The syllabus is the same as JEE. Total of 180 questions were there(60 physics,60 maths,40 chem, 20 engs) I focused on JEE as the syllabus is the same, here at PESSAT you must maintain your speed and accuracy to get a good rank

Academic Curriculum- they constantly upgrade the subjects which needs to be taught
Labs - very well equipped labs for all branches.
You can choose to drop a lab and do it in winter break or summer break

Dislikes

very less holidays only 3rd saturday is holiday and they dont give holidays for jayantis and all
Auto drivers near the college. this is pure daylight robbery

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

Faculties are highly experienced and ready to help all the time

Washrooms need to be clean and good to use especially for girls hygiene it has to be good
Hostel food is not that great and needs improvement in the quality of food
Thought schedule everyday hard to cope up with everything

security are very rude but some are bit friendly

Yes our college provide placements, from final year that is 7th semester they will allow for placements, Many companies visited our college like tcs, Cognizant, indegene, microland etc and average package is 400000 and highest is 1500000 it given by oracle, Nearly 60 percent students got that is either in both technical and non technical jobs, my plans to join a IT company

Faculty Experience and Mentorship : Experienced faculty : The faculty at SVIT is often described as appreciable , knowledge, and supportive . professors are well - versed in there respective fields ,and many have industrial experience .
Placement support : Strong placement record: SVIT hasa good placement record ,with many students securing in top - tier companies like TCS , Wipro , Accenture, Infosys,. The college guidence through placement offers traning .

Dislikes

Collaborative Environment : Group project and assignment is core elements of curriculum with many course designed to involve group work and collaborative projects.
Cultural Activities : Are not celebrated more in semister
Collaborative learning : Communication barrier in larger teams especially working with different backgrounds or academic disciplines.

The placement at SVIT Bengaluru area quite impressive , especially in the technical field like Computer science, Civil, Electrical and Machanical Engineering.The college has a dedicated placement cell that students get the best opportunities for internship and final placement .At SVIT , Students typically become eligible for campus placement from the 7 th semester . However, the placement cell starts preparing students for interview and skill development from the 5 th semester onwards though mock interview , resume - building workshops , and personality development session.SVIT Bengaluru has strong industry connection , especially in the IT and engineering sectors .some of the companies that regularly visit the campus recruitment includes. TCS , Infosys , Wipro, Congnizant, Accenture,IBM, Capgemini ,Tech Mahendra , Amazon.High- package : The highest salary package offered in recent year was around 15 - 18 lakhs per annum for candidates . Average package: The average salary package offered is ar8 4- 5 lakhs per annum. The placement rates at SVIT is consistently high . On average , around 80-85% of eligible students get placed in good companies.

Particular teaching subject wise was not so clear.
Placement training courses coding wise was not that good.
Water facility sometimes was not good but it was ok nothing to dislike

Placement Experience:

1. From 7th semester onwards placement activities start. But from 1st semester itself they start training. 2. Windcare, Rinexx, Wipro, Infosys, A1 fence, Microdegree, Intellipath and so on. 3. Intellipath offers 10 lakh per annum and so on. 4. 85 percent students where getting placed. 5. To start my own venture.

From the end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placemets.Many companies visit the campus including Oracle, UI path, etc offering students interships and full time jobs.The highest package offered to the student is 50 lakh per annum from UI Path and the average package of CSE branch is around 10lakh. Nearly 93% of students are placed in various companies.My plans after graduation is to grab a good on campus placement and look forward to my other goals in my life.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

I applied for NITS, IITs, and Bits. I couldn't clear JEE advanced. I cleared mains and Bits, but I didnt get desired NITs and desired Bits and branches.I chose this college rather than other nits because of the Bangalore exposure you get. I had jee percentile of 97. I chose this college because of the exposure it provides and the curriculum and constantly improving placement and internship opportunities. I wasn't able to clear other exams due to personal health reasons. There are 5 types of admissions. Pessat- The rank should be below 5k to get any branch in the college preferably below 2.5k for cse, but this mode is not there from 2025. Jee mains- above 97% percentile.
