Remarks

No exam was taken and the admission process was very smooth, however, there is a December test in which the vacant seats are filled. The intake of the number of students is quite good. The application form was present on the main site of Thapar. Talking of the Improvements the call center should be online 24/7 so that any query of the parents can be solved effortlessly.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am passionate about ethical hacking and web development which led me to take this course. Faculty-student ratio- 1:30 in labs and 1:250 in classes. The teaching method of teachers is good. everything they taught is understanable. Exams are taken 2 times with a gap of one month i.e one MST and one EST.

Class Size: 190Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

J P Morgan, ion, Focus Energy, Cisco , Infosys, and many more companies offer both technical and non-technical stipends is offered. Good knowledge of your course and projects like robotic arm and app development helps in achieving good placements.

Placement Experience

2.5

From the 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. JP Morgan Mckinsey, Optum, Focus energy, Cisco, Talent Serve, Axis Bank, ion, and many more visit for summer intern opportunity, average stipend is almost above 50k above. The highest package was about 42 lacs and the average package is about 10lacs. 90 Percentage of the students get placement. I want to pursue higher studies in the united states.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees here are high, approximately 4lacs per year. but it's worth it as per the amenities Yes there are scholarship given to students on the basis of their merit of jee mains and 12th board. The summer internship is provided.

Campus Life

2.5

Saturnalia is conducted in the month of October-November. The availability of books is not good according to the number of students. Amenities like AC, projectors, and smart boards are provided, 24/7 guard is present outside the class. Running track, Swimming pool, cricket ground, tennis court, and basketball court are provided. However the swimming pool is not up to the level, the swimming pool in my school was better than thapars swimming pool. MLSC, OWASP, Thapar Adventure club, etc.

Hostel Facilities

Table , chair , fan , lights , bed , almira , dustbin. Meal Quality is satisfactory. Registration is done online through the mail. Students prefer the night canteen over dinner. Students also prefer zomato over dinner or sometimes lunch.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

Likes

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
