Remarks

12th passed students are eligible. Comedk is an admission exam for non-Karnataka domicile whereas KCET and COMEDK are admission exams for Karnataka domiciled students. Reservations are provided as per the existing government norms and some percentage of the COMEDK quota is reserved for locals.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the AI&ML course because I was interested in this and also since the future of technology is AI and ML. The faculty-to-student ratio is around 50:1. The faculty is all master's and PhD degree holders and the teaching methods are up to the mark. The college takes three internals and one University externals. Externals are sometimes rescheduled by the University (VTU)

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 221000 per year

Internships Opportunities

In accordance with the new education policy, it is mandatory to undergo three internships. The college provides all support for the internship students and has a good internship scenario. There are plenty of outside internships available.

Placement Experience

The Students became eligible for placements in the seventh semester, and the process is quite friendly. There is a dedicated training and placement cell for the same. The average placement is around 8 LPA and the highest placement for last year was 55 LPA. Around 95% of the students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is different for different admission quotas. COMEDK students pay higher fees than KCET students. There is no such scholarship but the Karnataka government provides some Scholarships for domiciled students.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is happening but sometimes can get monotonous. The campus is good and added to the beautiful weather of the city it is phenomenal. The library is large and has an ample amount of resources. The library stays open till late at night for students to surf and uses the resources. Sports are given adequate importance and various inter-department fests are held from time to time

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is inside the campus. There are two boys' hostels - one for first years and another for second to fourth years. There is only one girls' hostel. The hostel is good, amenities are nice, food provided in the mess is not that up to the mark but it is eatable.

A great place for learning and career growth

Placement Experience:

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

My life at CMR - University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

My campus life so far

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.

One of the best colleges or universities for B Tech and pocket friendly

Placement Experience:

The College was there for more than 10 years , but there was only Post graduate courses available , like M-tech , Msc , etc. The College for B-tech has started just before 2 years , there are no batches which has been output till now. The students are also waiting to see the batches to get output and see the placements taking place. As a student I am also eager about the campus placements.
