Remarks

There are more than one eligibility criteria the first one is based on your score in JEE MAINS for getting admission through jee mains you have to go to the website called ikgptu and the same process goes if you want admission based on the 12th standard result for BTECH Computer Science for other courses you can just go directly to the college and talk to the supervisors there.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course because I always had an interest in computer languages and web development. In BTECH computer science the ratio is not very soothing since the teacher-to-student ratio is around 1:70. the qualification of the faculty is not very tremendous for computer science BTech, there are two mid-term tests each semester and one final, and the exam is pretty difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

there were local companies where internships were offered and the stipend was pretty low like around 4500, the outcome was that we got to learn a lot through internships and we got to feel the pressure of a real job, and our skills were put to a test.

Placement Experience

1.5

students become eligible for placements in 7th semester, this year TCS Wipro Infosys and some local startups reacher our college and they made around 8 offers for BTech computer science student, highest on-campus package was 360000 and lowest was 120000 the average is 240000, percentage of students getting placement is very low only some students got jobs they were so less that you can label them as the "chosen ones" my plan after the degree are to look for an off-campus job

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee hike policy is expensive here we just got to know that our tuition fees will be raised this year and the cost to study is also quite high since there are a lot of assignments now and then which costs us money also there are no shops to buy for necessities so people living in the hostel have to spend a lot on travel.

Campus Life

3

when we just came ion the college there was a sip program for the students and it was a welcoming fest after that no fest for our branch has happened even our freshers did not happen. availability of books is very good in the library, the amenities of this place are worst if you are coming from outside Punjab the crowd is not good especially if you are coming from places like Delhi, there are nice playgrounds all over the campus but no kits and balls are provided to play with which is against the rules but still, the sports department do whatever they right

Hostel Facilities

3.5

two fans are provided in a room for two to three people living 4 lights a study slab and a study table and two chairs, the meal quality for the first year mess is the worst food I have eaten in my life, registration is easy once you have paid the college fees you can reach the hostel and consult them directly and they will help you with everything.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
