The only bad remark is the infrastructure of the college. It has world class facilities in lab structure but infrastructure stands behind.

IIT JEE Score: 73 Got call letter after getting into the college and opted it as it is one of the premier institutions in Tamilnadu in both developing practical and theoretical skills.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is well planned and initiated very well. Various topics are covered and each semester is organised very well. Research activities are encouraged and various equipments with proper guidance are available to practice. Various departments have separate lab facilities and publishing journals are encouraged and assistance is provided for the same.
Internships Opportunities
No they do not provide internships. Rather they conduct symposiums every year in which various college students can participate and win prizes.
Placement Experience
When it comes to placementS no one can match the level of Velammal Engineering College. A number of IT companies visit the college and all are top recruiters and recruit in mass. That's why it holds at least 75% of students getting placed every year and various core companies which recruit students with high packages.
College Events
Various cultural and Co curricular activities are being conducted. National conference are also conducted so that various ideas are accepted and creative thinking is appreciated. Symposiums are conducted to participate and win various prizes. Athletic events are also conducted to promote sports in the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible and valid. But the fee structure for various caste are different but this is not the problem of Velammal every college has the same process. Good transport facilities are provided for a minimal amount. The course outcome is good and every penny spent on this college is worth spending.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship are provided for various students. The sc/st candidates enjoy the most when it comes to scholarship and general students gets minimum waived in their tuition fees.
Campus Life
The campus life is enjoyed wherever you study and no matter what may be the cirumstances.The students enjoys good exposure and gets best out of it. The male to female ratio is almost equal except the mechanical and automobile departments... Haha... Every event is appreciable in itself where various students participate from different cities.
Hostel Facilities
The only drawback of studying in velammal is that you would never get a good hostel facility nor the mess food. The menu card for the food is worse in Velammal. Same menu is repeated for a number of times but you will enjoy when it comes to non veg food during festivals with varieties being served. But mess food is problem with most colleges.
Alumni/Alumna
They are the most important part of the college. Every year an alumni is invited for the field experience chats. They help you with every doubts to be cleared.
Exam Structure
Every semester there at least 7 examinations conducted and a smaller topic is covered in every exam so that the students are well prepared for the main examination. The morale of the students are increased and this helps them scoring good marks in the main examination.
Admission
Basically every college has counselling through which students are enrolled. It was exciting on the day of counselling as I had no idea of choosing particular college. I was hoping I would clear the IIT but all went vain. Got to get into this college only on the day of counselling. Being a well developed College I opted it without having a second choice.
Faculty
Professors are well trained and have better experience in the subject which enables the students to enhance his skills well. Provide full guidance in completing various topics and endeavoring the various projects. They play an important role in making students participate in various events and accompanying them to the event so that they motivate students and provide proper guidance.
