To get an admission in this college for this particular course is very tedious. The college organizes two entrance tests where in the students are measured and graded on the basis of their theoretical knowledge of the graduation course curriculum as well as they test their logical and analytical reasoning. The college also conducts a personal interview round to test the students at other various levels.

Scholarship / Fellowship students are those who seek bank loans should make their own arrangements to pay their dues in time. The college has special arrangements for these kind of students and has various tie-ups with few banks, so that students can get great offers at a very low rate of interest as well as the payback period is also very good.

For effective teaching and research, the department has adequate number of computers (36 personal computers) with wifi facility. For modern teaching, the department has a 2 smart classrooms equipped with computer and the LCD projector. Every member of the faculty has personal computers and laptops with internet connection and the Research Scholars room also has adequate number of computers with internet connections.

The school has an alumni association. It meets every year. In collaboration with corporate and student axis series are being organized. They come in all the events to interact with the current students and guide them through their problems and share their experiences and the current trends and the scenarios of the market and the industry they would be entering later on.

The faculty members have undertaken several major research projects funded by UGC, ICSSR, Government of Tamil Nadu, Gulf of Manner Biosphere Reserve Trust (A joint venture of UNDP, Government of Tamil Nadu and Government of India), etc. So far, the department has completed 26 Projects and about 10 Projects are under progress.
