Reviewed on Oct 5, 2022(Enrolled 2021)

Remarks

I am Dhanavath Charan from Hyderabad. I wrote jee mains in 2021. I got a 6k st category rank in jee mains. so in the 6th round of jossa, I got Gurukul kangri Vishwavidyalaya Haridwar Uttarakhand. I am doing computer science at my university. The application fee maximum of 500 rupees. a person who got a good percentage in class 12th also gets admission to this college. Infrastructure is normal. The highest placement is 15 lakhs per annum in 2021. and the lowest is 3.6 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am interested in computer science. It has logically loaded. The faculty is good.in our branch, Nishant sir deals computer science in his excellent manner. And the other facilities are normal. All faculty are maximum Ph.D. and MTech qualified. Seasonal exams are there at our university. 1 and 2 sessional. Only 60 percent of students pass the examination.

Class Size: 3000Course Fees: INR 105000 per year

Placement Experience

Maximum placement should be after completing 3rd year of b tech in our college. Maximum companies will come for placement. in 2021 the highest placement is 15 lakhs and the lowest is 2 lakhs and the average is 5 lakhs. TCS, Flipkart, and consequent were so many companies visit for placement. only 50 percent of students place in placement that to in computer science batch only.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure of Gurukul kangri Vishwavidyalaya for all courses 1 lakh or above. only the student gets a 90k scholarship for St students if they are from Telangana. Scholarship name: Telangana tribal welfare department. There is no stipend in this college.

Campus Life

2.5

There is no annual fest and tech fest in our college. I think maximum for 3 years only one tech fest there in our college. Our college library is small but in the main University, we have excellent libraries. It looks like a mini Taj mahal. Every kind of book is available in our college. Extra circular activities are waste in our college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel would be good. We have to pay money in 2 installments. The mess charge would be for 1st seam is 18k. And the hostel fee is 20k. And 2nd semester mess fee is 18k. The caution fee is 5k, Security is 2k. Full Wi-Fi connection. The internet speed would be good in our college. The menu is also average in our college. For pg 7k per month.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

A Well-Rounded B.Tech Journey with Good Infrastructure, Supportive Faculty, and Growing Career Opportunities

Likes

Faculty members are generally qualified and approachable, and students can seek help with academics and projects.
students should supplement the university curriculum with industry certifications, coding practice, internships, GitHub projects and real-world development work.
There are cultural events, technical activities, clubs, sports and other extracurricular activities. Hostel students can participate fairly actively in campus events.

Dislikes

The main improvement I'd look for would be more advanced, industry-standard laboratory equipment and greater practical exposure.
I couldn't find a reliable current official university figure for the overall girls-to-boys ratio.
The ratio can also differ substantially between CSE, other engineering branches and the university as a whole.

Placement Experience:

Haridwar University provides regular campus-placement opportunities across IT, core engineering and other sectors. The university reports strong overall placement activity, but programme-wise salary and placement data are limited publicly, so students should ask for CSE-specific statistics before admission.

Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya - Review

Likes

I like the college curriculum and study materials and teaching style of the teachers . Some teachers are impressive and their teaching style is too good .
Campus life is not much engaging but we usually spent our time in studying only . Also for attendance there is not much more criteria but some teachers are very strict in taking the attendance.
Faculties are full of experience and knowledge. They are approachable online and offline too but after the class.

Dislikes

I don't like the placement system in my college because the students studying in 2nd year do not get any exposure of placement . There is placement cell in our college but not very active .
Infrastructure is good but it should be spread in a more big acres . My wish was to get into IIT Kharagpur that's why I am asking for big campus .
Overall curriculum and research based approach of the campus is good. They just give projects to the seniors and seniors work is to dictate us about the project and helps us in building different types of project.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspects that motivates me to choose this college is the GFTI'S colleges . Because my father suggest me that govt. Colleges seeks more companies that's why I choose this college . But truth is totally opposite from the reality. Real world application based projects is just given by the teachers in every semester but we students copy it and give it to them from the gpt. College timing should be more less we have to study from 10 am to 5 p.m. Timings of exams are of 3 hrs only in semester . Difficulty level is moderate.

Graduation- Best time of life.

Likes

The campus of the university is beyond beautiful and homely. Participation in college and university societies paves way for an all rounder development of the students. Facilities like CCF internet facility) is quite commendable.
Good Placements offered also encourage better future prospects. The library of the university is next level. Kisan mela held two times a year feels like another celebration for the university people.
Events held in the university with amazing artists offer exposure as well as a unique way to keep the entertainment alive amongst the youth.e

Dislikes

The hostel rules were rigid especially the entry timings of the girls hostel. The rigidity to take leave by getting it signed by various officials first had been an issue. Although, this was when i was graduating, things might have changed by now.
The stringent hostel rules were quite difficult to cope with. The strict checking at the university gates though might seem good as per the security but seem harsh sometimes.
Teaching methods could be made more progressive and technical with time paving way for more practical knowledge. Infrastructure could also be given a push.

Placement Experience:

In final year of btech companies start coming. Maximum students of CSE and IT get placed. Package is min. 3.2Lacs CTC. Both mass recruiters and startups take part in the placement drive. A good number of students get placed. But maximum students of our college opt for higher studies like appearing for GATE, GRE, CAT exams. Further students indulge in preparation for govt services like UPSC, Defence.
