Inside story of KIIT and it’s course, placement.

Eligibility for the course is student should have taken PCM/PCMB in 12th and should have at least 60% scores. The application form is available on kiit.ac.in the website and the process for admission starts b/w march-April. Reservations are there for specific caste category students. No improvement is required, as the admission process is itself very smooth and timely.

For me, the IT course was more than relevant, getting an IT branch in KIIT is itself an achievement and if you get it you will learn various things in your life. I think the faculty: students ratio was good, say for 50 students at least 10 faculty were there for each subject, besides this KIIT also has an intern lecturer and they will help in easing your difficulties. Teachers/Faculty were highly knowledgeable in their respective subjects and also were very helpful in clearing doubts. Teaching quality was amazing and they also have projectors and all digital tool that assists in quality teaching. Semester exams are timely, and are not much difficult, if you invest 10-15 hours in a week then it will be a cakewalk for you.

Internships were given to students who are very good in academics (above 9. Cgpa ) or if they're very good at coding and algorithm. The company visited were optimum /Informatica/nautanix/Amazon. Amazon has a very high stipend and in the year 2019, it offered around 50k to interns. Optum gave incentives around 23k p.m, slightly higher for information was 35k p.m. Nautanix provided a stipend of around 50k and it was very competitive. Most projects were on ML/AI or VR, and some of them made projects IoT and many more. Depending on project work and accuracy you will be provided with good project marks which will help in university recognition and academic Cgpa grade.

Once you're in 3rd year then you will be eligible for all placement and internships. The placement of Kiit was good and there were numerous companies that participated during the academic year 2019. The top companies visited were high-radius, Informtica, Amazon, Intel, HSBC, Amdocs, and Deloitte and these companies hired around 100 students out of 900 students. Highest was given 24Lpa by adobe / Amazon and average was 5lpa(high radius /optum/incture/veeva/lti etc) and below this was 2lpa. Most of them offered SDE roles say around 85% and others were in business development roles say 10-15%. The placement record for our batch was 99%, each and every one of us had at least 2 offers in hand and all were placed by end of the 8th semester. My plans after getting a degree are to proceed with an IT career and maybe in future I will be applying for a master's.

So once you got admission to kiit, there will be some tuition fees as well as mess/hostel fees. In my time my college fees were 110000 and hostel and mess fees were 41500 if avail AC rooms are then it will cost you 17500 extra in the year 2015-19, talking about tuition fees hike, so there is no hike in that, it will be fixed for an academic year until your graduation. But for mess/hostel fees some hike is there, say for a span of 2 yrs you will have to give 2000-5000 extra that's all. There are various opportunities for internships and scholarships, for kiit if you score highest in your branch or become branch topper then tuition fees will be waived for you and apart from this, there are various companies( optimum, incture, informtica etc.) that will start coming once you're in 3rd year. Coming to my very first job, was in Accenture and was in the year 2019 and the package I got was 4LPA.

There are various activities happening in kiit like KIIT FEST, KIIT LEAGUE, KIITMUN, KIIT FASHION, KIIT CODE TO WIN etc. Basically, these all will happen in b/w September -December. Hostels facilities were of 'A' grade and the following point: -Wooden bed with good length and breadth. -24x7 Wi-Fi with high-quality unlimited net speed includes downloading as well. -Multi-storeys building and building age is less than 15yrs -Library/classroom/Labs with 24x7 AC and quality of facilities provided was excellent which includes food/canteen/mess. Other facilities like sports and games, so kiit has its own playground(very large) for activities like cricket, badminton, volleyball and many others. There are various societies run by students, white hat hackers groups, kiit entrepreneurs if you're interested in bringing new ideas,kiit society help, where you have to donate clothes and help needy elders and many more.

Hostel facilities were of premium quality like wooden beds (size preferably for a single person), and high 24x7 Wi-Fi speed with unlimited upload/download. Various Multi-storey buildings are newly created. There is a schedule for the menu for every week and is very simple and healthy. Overall good quality of mess food /hostel fees. The registration process is simple and it will be adjusted at the time of admission, and hostel fees total 43500 including the mess charge.
